As they evade destruction on an escape shuttle bound for *Amantes*, some wonder what lies ahead on that unforgiven rock, densely populated with commerce, crime and conspiracy. Meanwhile, the **Regional Director** continues their capitalization. His daughters voice flows assuredly through the radios. Much of the interior belongs to them. Only a short time remains before an opening comes for them to make their move. ## Chapter Primer <center>  [![AmantesLore]](https://hackmd.io/@stonepillar/HJEYwYb25) </center> This chapter takes place on *Amantes*, the 9th significant object in the Typhon system in the Frontier. It is a peanut-shaped asteroid commonly used as a resting point for ships going between the Channel and the outer Frontier. It's large natural tunnels and dense shantytowns are drenched in crime, but also industries, shops and other vital goods which provide everything you need to survive in space if you weren't fortunate enough to work for Nanotrasen. ## Recent Events Several weeks ago, unknown terrorists, presumed to belong to the Syndicate, engaged in a bold series of operations. Their resurgence in full was the kidnapping and ransom of the **Regional Director's** daughter, who managed to be recovered, but an unknown group of terrorists, believed to be Syndicate sleeper agents, once again took her hostage. Expecting more attacks, Nanotrasen increased security across the entire Frontier. The next attack came three days later, when a group of Syndicate sleeper agents destroyed *Core Installation 26*, an administrative office belonging to the **Regional Director**. At this point, many crew members are left without much information. Stations all around have received strange deliveries and mysterious clandestine installations of some sort of device. Rumors as to what it is are rife, and some even say it lead to internal struggle between some corporate higher-ups. ![COGMAP] What is known, is that only a few days after the installations, turmoil erupts across the entire Frontier. Central Command says it's a mutiny, while Regional Command says it's a liberation from the Syndicate and greedy corporate despotism. Those who were malcontent with Nanotrasen stay behind in hopes of joining the Regional Director. The rest evacuate in hopes that the Central Command can get them home. ## Adventure Hooks ***Refugee***, following the evacuation orders from Central Command, you are evacuated from your comfortable station towards an unknown and disreputable rock known for its lawlessness. ::: info The first two hooks are recommended for anyone did not play *Introspector*, or never explored the world off-station. It requires the least amount of prerequisite knowledge. ::: ***Junctioner***, for you, today is another day in your jumbled scrap heap of a home. You are somewhat familiar with the tunnels, scrap heaps and winding passages. The recent fighting on *Amantes* may have left the large surface buildings destroyed, but life continues on below, as normal. ***Soldier***, being fresh troops from Earth, only in the field for a week, you and your squad are confident.
