The server is hosted by *Stonepillar* for one round every weekend, with information about that week's events posted in our [Discord]. Typically, we host at 11:00 AM, Eastern US on Saturdays. Our codebase has minimal modifications to Goonstation, and the experience of playing is almost identical. The only things we add are custom sounds, maps, and new things to play around with! Think of it as a new set of Adventure Zones, but with more at stake than just that round. :::warning Watch out for changelings! **[Loafstation is not Goonstation][LING]**. Read the linked page for more information. ::: ## Role-play Events Role-play events, such as *Introspector* or *Advent*, are persistent and story-driven role-play events where the events of one event carry over into the next, and tend to start where the last one ended. While some antagonists are hand-picked prior to the round, players have more leeway towards how they act in the story. Should you end up joining a band of evildoers, or happen accross a horrid artifact, your character could suddenly become *quite the troublemaker*. Typically, a **primer** for every role-play event will be published a few days prior to the event which will explain the story so far, and contain some information oriented towards new players. **In most cases, new players can join even after the first chapter**. The events are designed to give newcomers a path to join the regular flow of things. ## FAQ - **Can I use my characters from Goonstation?** Yes, absolutely! Many people do. - **Do my characters from Goonstation carry over?** No, they do not. You will have to screenshot them and put them in when you join. - **Will there be time to edit my character setup before the event?** Yes, 5-10 minutes are usually reserved for this purpose. - **Can I be Antagonist?** Maybe. Sometimes, a **role sign-up form** is published along with that chapter's primer. It may contain sign-up options for Antagonist roles. - **Can I join even though I missed the start?** Absolutely, mid-round joins and mid-story joins are totally acceptable! Come on and play! - **How long do these hosts last?** These hosts are about the length of a standard roleplay round, an hour to an hour and a half. - **Where do I join?** The server you need to connect to will be announced prior to the event, since it sometimes changes.
