# Loafstation Is Not Goonstation

Even though, these two servers are very similar, they are not the same. Sometimes, people can confuse Loafstation for being an official Goonstation event or server, or that it is run by Goonstation admins. In reality **Loafstation is not endorsed by Goonstation in any way**, and is not run by an Administrator, past or present.

- **Try to keep Loafstation discussion from creeping into the Goonstation discord**, especially in the RP channel, lore content channels, or the other general channels not directly related to development.
- That being said, **if you are a coder, try not to bring up any loaf-specific content in the coder channels.** If you think it would be a good addition to Goonstation your welcome to ask a Loafstation developer for the code for it and submit it yourself.
- **Try not to post invites to Loafstation directly in the Goonstation discord.** If you want to invite a friend, the best place to do that is in their direct messages, and always remember to follow the rules Goonstation has about unwanted direct messages.
- **The general interest channels are probably okay** to post Loafstation stuff, since they are not specific to Goonstation.

Ultimately, **most Loafstation talk should happen on the Loafstation discord.** It's of course, not expressly forbidden to talk about the other server in our respective servers, but it helps avoid confusion between our servers on what exactly is from where. Especially for new players, who can read about stuff that is true on Loafstation but definitively not true on Goon.

## Goonstation is fine though.

Loafstation is based heavily on Goonstation, both in code and in story. We are not strangers to hosting in-development features that are pending merge on Goonstation, such as the Flock and Wraith reworks. However, try to remember:

- **Goonstation has its own discord!** It may be better to talk about it there. It's the place to talk about development for Goonstation, and to talk about recent rounds, and to make fun of clowns and bread.
- **Loafstation administrators are not Goonstation administrators**, we cannot help you with anything on Goonstation, like getting your pull request merged, or dealing with player misbehaviour that happens there. You should go to Goonstation for that.
- If your feature is big, **discuss it with Goonstation developers**. Doing a play-test with Loafstation is no substitute for the real thing. Talk to a developer about your feature, it will help you understand what they will and will not accept, and they can provide **real-world Goonstation servers** and testers who are well experienced in breaking new features.
