# Diablo Idle Game
### Premise
* Worldbuilding -- the people have succumbed to a sleeping sickness, caused by evil that plagues the world
* Few are somewhat immune to it (players) and have two general powers - ability to stay awake for longer amounts of time (gamer energy irl) and the ability to dreamwalk -- basically if you sleepwalked in a lucid state (this is the idle gameplay)
* Gameplay mechanic -- While the player is awake, works like your standard issue diablo game. There's a few classes to choose from, spells, armor, all that good shit.
* Rather than being a semi-open world game that diablo II was, there would instead be an overworld level selection type thing, and gameplay would primarily be done through dungeons
* Basic game loop would be to physically run a dungeon and complete it. Certain metrics would be tracked and saved based on your performance of the dungeon, you can come back and complete dungeons over and over again to improve your time on it, farm items, or whatever.
* Then, before you set the game down, you can set your character into dreamwalk mode, taking the best score you've had on the dungeon and auto-running it in an idle state
* This can be used to several advantages, such as farming for certain items, and takes out grindiness.
* There would be disadvantages to it as well; this process wouldn't be as efficient as physically running it yourself, but there could be a dream state XP bar with its own talents to make idling more efficient.
