# LLUF Merch Kit Project (October 2025 Edition 🎃✨)

Welcome to your first big LLUF challenge! You’re going to design a **personal merch kit**—a playful, creative starter pack that helps introduce you to the Learning Lab community, while also teaching you the tools and workflows we’ll use all year.

This project should take about **15 hours total**, spread across your regular shifts. By the end, you’ll have both digital assets and physical artifacts you can hold in your hands, share, and show off.

## Your Base Kit (Core Deliverables)

### High-Quality Portraits
- Capture RAW 4K bursts on the Blackmagic camera.
- Extract stills and edit in **Lightroom + Photoshop**.
- Deliver 3 final portraits (formal, candid, playful).

### Buttons (2 styles)
- One **black-and-white high-contrast portrait** (printed on colored paper).
- One creative **“about me” design** (symbol, phrase, or image that represents you).
- Workflow: Photoshop → InDesign (button template) → print, trim, press.

### Paper Doll (2 versions)

- **Photo-real**: a cutout scaled to 1 inch = 1 foot (~6 inches tall).
- **Vector graphic**: Photoshop adjustments → Illustrator Image Trace → color edits → print + cut.

### Creative Type Poster
- Take the Adobe Creative Type quiz.
- Design a poster using the template specs.
- Revise the quiz text to reflect **your LLUF style**.

### Pokémon Bio Card
- A trading-card-style profile of yourself.
- Include: portrait/graphic, your “type(s),” playful abilities, and stats.
- Layout in Photoshop + InDesign.

### Zine Page
- A one-page spread introducing you in zine style (collage, text, illustrations).
- Think cut-and-paste energy with a LLUF twist.

### Mini Pop-up Card
- Design a small foldable card with a pop-up element.
- Practice paper folding, cutting, and layering.

## Bonus Remix Options (if time allows)

Take any of your merch kit artifacts and remix it into another form:
- **Podcast**: A 2–4 min episode introducing yourself or reflecting on your LLUF journey.
- **Video**: A 30–60 sec “ad” for your merch kit.
- **Animation**: Animate your paper doll or Pokémon card in After Effects or Photoshop.
- **AI Website**: Use AI-assisted “vibe coding” (like Framer/Glitch/Colab workflows) to turn your kit into a fun mini-site.

## Final Deliverables
- A digital folder with all files (PSD, AI, INDD, exports).
- Physical versions of: buttons, dolls, poster, zine page, pop-up card, Pokémon card.
- Regular Slack updates with WIPs + reflections.
- A short **1–2 min on-camera reflection** about what you learned (to be filmed the week of Oct. 28).

- **Oct. 24 (Thursday):** Core deliverables due.
- **Week of Oct. 28:** Reflection interviews on camera.
- **Oct. 28–31 (Halloween Week):** 🎃 **Spooky Remix Challenge!**
We’ll transform kit artifacts into haunted versions for our Halloween party—skeleton paper dolls, ghost-type Pokémon cards, creepy zine flyers, and more.
