# Honing Your Argument

### Description of the session
**“Honing Your Argument”**
Having trouble describing what you're writing about? Come to this session with the Bok Center's Learning Lab to practice articulating the central ideas of your thesis clearly and succinctly.
### Session plan
* Intro on pitches and story shapes, question mark/exclamation point
* Breakout: Which story shape they think their thesis relates to, getting feedback from others.
* Back to the main room
* Speed dating: Each person aims for 1 min, swap, then 1 min debrief. Send them to the next group. At least 3 iterations of this.
* Bring them back and share their most memorable moments, unpack them on the spot.
* Mediums
* Posters
* Data visualization / figures
* Video
* Website?
* Audiences - Imagine how you might communicate with a variety of audiences
* High information
* Low information (what could you show your family?)
* Invitation to work with us in the future!!!
