# My posture-correcting ergonomic Setup ## Advice You want your arms to be at a 90-degree tilt and your head to be looking straight up. You want to be able to stand up to do some work, but standing for long periods of time is just as bad as sitting. Grab a standing mat and some accessories to combat plantar fachitis, which you get from standing up too much. Try to be barefoot as much as possible. Make sure you can sit down when you need to, keep a stool or chair handy so you can still work when you're tired of standing. I'm a strange person who needs to move around a lot and stretch so I need a chair that can handle a lot of movement, but still let me rest when I'm exahusted. I have a lot of different chairs, and it ends up being ok. Exercise Balls are fun, wobbly stools help me stand longer and keep moving around while I stand up and work. A stool that can be counter-height or squatting height: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GVVQNL6 Kneeling chairs are great- the edge desk has one built in. I own this one and the padding is not dense enough: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FA64F6S but the form factor is wonderful. Get one with denser padding. I end up being able to sit in this chair for longer than I need to sit for work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078XZ211C so I tend to use it for gaming or other long periods of sitting. I try to take one-on-one meetings outdoors if I can help it, or anything that requires me to be present and not take notes. ## On Broadcasting I tried to go cheap as possible with my broadcast setup. I bought a surface pro but it ends up that anything I need to write can be better expressed typed out, so I don't use it to broadcast. I use it mainly to make diagrams and edit images. I do use a Blue Yeti mic, as sound quality is make-or-break for video: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MTSZBDN It mainly helps filter out outside noise with cardoid capture, like the neighbor using the weed whacker. The mic is excellent. None of the included accessories are super great. If you want a pop shield, buy one seperately. I don't end up using one as my face is often on camera and I can't get the angle set up - no one complains. ### Lights I have several light sources. [My Nanoleaf](https://nanoleaf.me/en/) array - this allows me to use any color I want on my face to balance it. My Large Ring Light - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YFYR126 This has to go behind your desk and you really want to put the camera inside it. This helps your face be evenly lit, which will make it look fantastic in indoor settings.
