# Privacy Mining v2 β TL;DR
You can now make your $ETH private β with rewards β on Ethereum L1 by depositing it into Intmax L2 and then withdrawing it.
This guide covers Privacy Mining, a feature of the Intmax Stateless Layer (L2). It does not cover other L2 features (Bridge, Send, Transactions tabs).

## How $ITX Is Issued
$ITX is only created through mining β there are no exceptions.
The total supply is capped at **1.001 billion**, with **6 halving events** over time.

## What Is $ITX?
$ITX plays two roles:
- On L1, itβs a regular ERC20 token β tradeable on DeFi and exchanges.
- On L2 (Intmax), it becomes a privacy-focused coin for bulk confidential transfers.

## How to Get Started
1. Go to [app.intmax.io](https://app.intmax.io)
2. Connect your wallet and open the **Mining** tab. Choose the amount of $ETH you want to deposit.


3. After depositing, check the **Mining Portfolio** tab to track your deposit.
4. Check the protocol-defined lock period (2β5 days). It appears on the tab.
5. After the wait, you can withdraw your funds β now made private. You can re-deposit for more rewards, or simply use your private $ETH.
> *Note:* You can also deposit other major tokens for privacy,
but mining rewards are given only for $ETH deposits.
> *Note:* Redepositing for many times does not make additional privacy neither for you nor for others. It's like staking with some works.
> *Note:* The waiting period is INTENTIONALLY rather long to help other's privacy. If you want instant privacy, just deposit and withdraw asap without rewards.

No one can link your withdrawal address to your original deposit.

at the same time.
And itβs built with a [decentralized AML design](https://medium.com/@intmax/compliant-privacy-among-citizens-ae96bf6cb465), so itβs privacy with compliance in a permissionless manner.
The L2 (Bridge, Send, Transactions tabs) is an extremely scalable private-transfer protocol secured by Ethereum. Each tx only takes 5 bytes, and you can pack maximum 64 transfers in one tx without additional cost, meaning that minimum 0.078 bytes of onchain data per transaction. Every tx is confidential.
