# Speaker Guide @Arewethereyet.club #### Virtual live event: 31 May - 2 June #### Contact: hi@arewethereyet.club

## Introduction ### Arewethereyet.club is a micro-festival showcasing lightning talks on the future of creativity. Our first virtual live event will be held on 31 May - 2 June.
### Arewethereyet? It may seem like a fairly easy question. Yet some of the simplest questions in life can lead us to think deeply about ourselves, our work, and the world around us. Are-we-there-yet is a space where designers, artists, and thinkers alike can converge to discuss where do we go next based on projects, ideas, aesthetic and philosophies that inspires us today. In the face of recent trials, creativity is manifesting itself in novel forms, as acts of self-expression, reflection and collaboration. Are-we-there-yet is here to propel a multifaceted perspective shift in the creative world. It is a place to discover budding ideas that may sound unattainable, surprising, or even dangerous. New paths are being paved, and you are the pavers.

## 🎤 Talk preparation This document aims to help you, as a creator, to ask yourself if creative achievement can be contagious. How can it best be shared across borders, genders and cultures? ### Scope #### Be passionate. You are invited to speak about the creative work that you’re passionate about. We want to hear about that one creative work you had an epiphany about last night. Be wild, impractical, inspirational. Be who you think you would want to listen to—again and again. #### :brain: Be bold. Develop your topic around new perspectives, ideas or fresh insights that are unique to you. Awareness of one’s accomplishments can sometimes be inspirational even if they’re not directly beneficial in the listener’s trade. #### :moon: Be mindful. We’re not a pay-to-play platform, so we endorse every speaker equally and for free. We consider talks and presentations with a pure intention to educate, to share deep insights and ideas and not to onboard users to a specific service or product. A selfish narrative should be avoided.

## 📄Length and format - Each solo session lasts fifteen minutes, with ten minutes assigned to the talk and five minutes to introducing the speaker and Q&A. Ten minutes is too little to share many how-tos, but we hope it is enough share a few general skills, insights and experiences. - Although the speakers do not require to have a slide, but if you do please read this https://hackmd.io/@lililashka/Hy6icjY9L - Our project title is a question because we’re looking for an answer.
