# Device language
## Overview
The LICCION platform is available in different languages.
Changing the language on the LICCION platform (oblo.network) changes the
text that is displayed (the user-interface and surveys).
To write in a different language a person has to:
1. Add the language to the device keyboard layout options.
2. Switch to the target language when entering data into the platform.

## Detailed steps
### 1. The target language must be added to the keyboard layout of the input device operation system (windows, OSX, Android, iOS). This is done in the device settings. See below for instructions on how to add a language in different operating systems.
#### Android

1. Go to the Settings menu.
2. After which, press the option Language & Input.
3. Press the icon located on the right side of the default keyboard you use for your Android device.
4. Press the option Input Languages. This can be seen at the top part. Usually, it is the first one in a lot of options.
5. Your Android device will then display multiple languages that can be used for the current Android keyboard you are utilizing. Simply tick the language you wish to use. Tick the box located to the right of the language you wish.

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Time & Language.
3. Click on Language.
4. Under the "Preferred languages" section, select the default language.
5. Click the Options button.
6. Under the "Keyboards" section, click the Add a keyboard button.
7. Select the new keyboard layout you want to use.

2. Tap Keyboards, then do any of the following:
3. Add a keyboard: Tap Add New Keyboard, then choose a keyboard from the list. Repeat to add more keyboards.
**(NOT NECESSARY: Removing and changing order of languages):**
- Remove a keyboard: Tap Edit, tap the Delete button next to the keyboard you want to remove, tap Delete, then tap Done.
- Reorder your keyboard list: Tap Edit, drag the Reorder button next to a keyboard to a new place in the list, then tap Done.

1. Go to the Keyboard pane in System Preferences
2. Select the Input Sources tab
3. Click the plus button on the bottom left
4. Select your language
5. Choose the appropriate language layout
### 2. Change the keyboard layout
Once the language is added, the user can generally quickly change the input language from some menu (main menu bar for computers/laptops, keyboard menu for phones)
#### Android

1. An application where it is necessary to input text must be launched. Depending on the type of keyboard you use, you can have two options.
One is to long press the Spacebar. Another is to press the World icon. The World icon can be seen on the left side of the keyboard. Both options will allow you to access a menu for changing keyboards.
2. A dialog box will be displayed after you have done Step 01. This dialog box will display various input language you can select from.
What you should do in this step is to press the circle located at the right side of the language in order to select it and be able to change your keyboard.
3. After which, the language you have selected will be shown within the Spacebar key. You will now know that the Android keyboard has already changed and is successful.

1. Click the Input Indicator icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.

1. While typing text, touch and hold the Next Keyboard, Emoji key or the Switch Keyboard key.
2. Tap the name of the keyboard you want to switch to.
3. You can also tap the Next Keyboard Emoji key or the Switch Keyboard key to switch from one keyboard to another. Continue tapping to access other enabled keyboards.

1. Check out the input menu at the top right in the menu bar. And click on it.
2. Now, you should see your selected keyboard layouts. Pick the one you want to use, and you are ready to go!
