**Project:**
*CoinOp Studios*
**Project Description:**
Please share a detailed description of your project, including what problem you are solving, how you solve it, your positioning, how you are different from existing solutions, and whether you are using, or plan to use, Filecoin/IPFS
The Problem: Current blockchain games are failing to meet the expectations of traditional gamers.
Because most web3 games are…
- Complicated to understand and play
- Sacrificing gameplay mechanics in favor of speculating mechanics
- Extremely expensive compared to traditional gaming models (e.g. $1k for Axie Infinity)
- Not something fun or quick people can play to relax
In short, most blockchain games are not designed for gamers, they’re designed for speculators and investors!
*CoinOp Studios builds casual single-player blockchain games that make the transition to web3 gaming simple and approachable for the largest target market in gaming/media.*
*We focus on well-established game types that are addicting to play.*
*Our mission is to become the gateway for 100 million people to enter web3 via gaming.*
*We aim to accomplish this by becoming the trusted site people recommend to their friends and family to “try out” blockchain gaming in a safe and low risk environment.*
Our games…
- Don’t take long to play (So they can be enjoyed for a few minutes here and there)
- Have simple game mechanics (Which make them easy to learn at any age or experience level)
- Are designed to be inclusive (So anyone can play, regardless of location or economic status)
- Educate and guide the player (On how to play blockchain games and get their wallet configured)
Our first game, Moloch Rises, is a decentralized rouguelite RPG with loot and character progression provided by NFTs. Moloch, the god of human coordination failure, has possessed several experimental androids in the far future. It's up to you to defend your utopia from the evils of Moloch!
Not only will you be able to equip NFT-based loot to aid you in your journey, you'll also be able to learn more about the world through multimedia storytelling stored on IPFS, represented as NFT completion badges for portions of the game. Rarer NFT-based loot will be gated behind holding one or several NFT completion badges.
In addition to these multimedia badges, we plan on using IPFS/Filecoin to host the Moloch Rises frontend and NFT loot assets.
======
IPFS
- front end assets
- tutorial videos
- cutaway videos in game
- alternate reality game / scavenger hunt marketing
- storytelling via NFTs
- world-building video, audio, and multimedia can be stored on IPFS and minted as NFTs awarded to players completing each season
- fixed supply of each season, growing in issuance with each subsequent season
- issuance and minting of exclusive loot, content, will be gated to holders specific season completion NFTs
- ARG-style storytelling to tease new or hidden content
**Deck / One-Pager / Article:**
Please upload any materials (deck, one-pager, Medium/Mirror article etc.) describing what you're building. If you don't yet have a deck or a one-pager, you can upload a simple Word / Google doc describing your project / idea in detail and how it works
**Team's profile**
Please share details of your team's background, and links to your core team members' LinkedIn, Github Repository, and/or Twitter
*We’re a team of web3 contractors from RaidGuild DAO who also happen to be avid gamers. We came together to create a blockchain game for the ETH Denver Hackathon, became finalists, and now are building out a web3 gaming studio so we can create the games we actually want to play.*

**Is there anything else you would like us to know?**
Our team is committed to releasing smaller games on a frequent basis so we can get market feedback sooner and iterate faster. There's so many successful casual games in the web2 / mobile market that are just waiting to be brought over to web3. That's where we want to be positioned.

# Follow Up Email
Hope you're doing well. We're currently reviewing applications and we'd like to request for a few items that could help the process on our side:
1. In the deck you submitted, it is stated that the valuation is at $20M. Just want to let you know that our investment terms for the accelerator are fixed (the FDV will be at $5M). We would like to check if this is fine with you.
2. Could you share the LinkedIn for all the core members of your team please?
3. Please share any smart contract dev experience of all your devs (COO, CTO & smart contract person).
4. Please share any of your team member's game dev experience.

## Follow Up Email Response
*What else can we provide that answers #3 and #4?*
### Smart Contract Experience
**Bruce:** I have written various contracts, including a random dealer for a card deck, dealing NFTs, as well as more "normal" NFTs. I've also dealt extensively with Web3 APIs including Tokensets and other Web3 primitives.
**Jack:** Most recent experience includes implementing and deploying a subgraph for a new cohort/recruiting/onboarding workflow for Raid Guild. I also had experience designing, implementing, and testing the vesting and staking contracts for a new crypto on/off-ramp's ecosystem token. In terms of interacting with smart contracts, building the interactions with our smart contracts for Moloch Rises. Additionally, helping to test and increase test coverage on MolochV3/Baal smart contracts.
**Bryan:** I have helped numerous founders launch airtight DeFi and NFT projects both as a software engineer, and security auditor. Before consulting, I wrote MEV bots which did $12m a month in Sushiswap/Uniswap arbitrage volume. Want to learn more? I work pseudonymously, and you can find my digital footprint on Twitter and Github.
### Gaming Experience
**Bruce:** I ran the largest "Play by Post" randomizer and boards in the world for a few years. "InvisibleCastle" provided fair, randomized rolls in PHPBB format using an API and via simple "Forum Markup" like "[2d6+1]" to its own forums and to other Python and PHP forums that allowed modular plugins for markup. This site peaked at 2 million hits per month.
**Jack:** My capstone engineering course at Univesrity of Michigan was in videogame design. As a part of that process, we developed several different multiplayer "party" games using an iterative development approach. In doing so, we had the opportunity to quickly setup multiple stages of playtesting, balancing, and iteration on our games to make them as fun, engaging, and fair as possible.
