# Python Starter Kit (for me)
Hi,
I’m Yen, a two-month experienced **Python** freshman. Following is my learning path:
- First, I read **“Python Crash Course: A Hands-on, Project-based Introduction to Programming”** and finished all the practices in the book. Thanks to author [Eric Matthes](https://twitter.com/ehmatthes) and[ his sharing of source code on GitHub](https://twitter.com/ehmatthes) that I could practice with it.
- Second, [RealPython](https://realpython.com/learning-paths/) is a good website to sharpen Python skill and find a career path related to Python. I’m making a decision whether to specialize first in machine learning or web development or data science.
- Before starting a side project, I recommend students to apply the [GitHub Student Developer Pack](https://education.github.com/pack). There are plenty of premium services and online courses for free.
Actually I haven’t been participating any social community for Python, like Python Taiwan, PyLadies, etc. I’m looking forward to it.
