# r/europe EU4 3 Campaign 3 Session 2 ft. Dante from the Devil May Cry series Tierlist ## Europe ### A #### France The bully of western Europe. France has a massive FL of 70, max manpower of 73k and dev of almost 1000. Although he lost a major chunk of his manpower to a still ongoing war with Holland and he is not doing as well on ideas as the princes of the HRE in the east, the size of France alone makes it the strongest nation in Europe. Even his border looks good if you pretend that that snake across Iberia doesn't exist. ### B #### Poland After winning a war that should have bankrupted him, Poland is in an amazing position with 7/7 quality ideas filled out and only slightly behind on admin tech. If Noohac manages to dodge ganks this campaign, he should be able to consolidate his land and become a proper counterweight to France and Europe might not devolve into its usual cancer of one nation somehow dominating all of it. Probably not. But, HRE, before you gank this man, consider this: If you let him integrate his vassals, his corpse won't look like you put the face of Charles V into a lawnmower. #### Muscovy Muscovy is doing pretty well. After being gifted Finland, for free for some reason, expanding into mostly AI and dead players, and capitalizing on a stupid war Uzbek started, Muscovy grew to an impressive size considering the year we are in and its FL of 55 and max manpower of 40k reflect that to some extent. He is doing ok with tech so far and is behind on ideas at 2/7 defensive and 1/7 economic when you compare him to the HRE and Poland. ### C #### England The other bully of western Europe. Going explo and a FL of 42 and max manpower of 36k, make England's army significantly weaker than the other major powers in Europe. However it is still much more powerful than everyone else and it has the strongest navy on the continent, making the future takeover of Scandinavia easy and guaranteeing that survival is more than just France wanting an ally on the channel. #### The Papal States 33FL and 26k max manpower make it more powerful than the other HRE princes. He only has 4 quality ideas filled out but he has twice their income and a higher FL which might put him into a position where he could take over large chunks of southern Germany. ### D #### Denmark FL of 20 and max manpower of around 21k and a PU on Norway make it surprisingly strong considering its size but with only having 2 ideas filled out, a ruler/heir duo that will continue to gimp monarch point generation for years to come and a navy that can't do anything against the bullies of western europe, the future doesn't look bright for Denmark. #### Livonian Order 22 FL and 20k max manpower, good rulers and 8 ideas filled out make it seem like the Great German Wall will be easily made reality by the livonian order. #### Cologne Not having Quality fully filled out and a bad heir put Cologne behind the Livonian Order on this tier list, as they are otherwise pretty similiar in all other aspects with 21FL and 18k max manpower. #### Brandenburg 17FL 20k max manpower but half the income of the other princes. In addition to that he didn't activate the ideas that make his troops strong yet so might still die before unlocking his true potential. #### Milan Another 20k manpower ~20FL nation with a lot of ideas inside the HRE. The difference with this one is that he doesn't get national ideas that boost his troop quality but instead gets a good government reform. ### E #### Bohemia Even though it seems like the player abandoned it, someone might be able to salvage this nation. FL of 16 and max manpower of 17k and less ideas filled out make it weaker than the other HRE princes but it has a civil war looming so it could potentially take out one of the surrounding nations and recover with the help of the disaster. #### Sweden Is there even a player on this? With a FL of 17 and a small manpower pool capping out at almost 20k it has almost as many troops as the HRE princes but it only has 2 ideas filled and those two ideas are trade ideas, making its army significantly weaker than those of the princes. It could attempt to suck up to Muscovy or Poland, becoming their cash cow, but Swedens ideas and government form aren't really made for this so it seems unlikely to happen. #### Venice Venice seems like it's in a very vulnerable spot rn since their army has been decimated by recent wars and it doesn't have any important ideas filled out or other boosts to troop quality. Its navy also leaves much to be desired. Still, if it survives the sessions to come it will become a great trading partner. #### Ulm Another HRE prince. This one only has a FL of 12k and max manpower of 15k though. Already going into monarchy for some reason as well. ### F #### Switzerland F #### Hungary F #### Holland F ## Asia ### A ### B #### Timurids 10 ideas filled out while being ahead on tech make Timmies look very scary. Combined with a decent FL of 66 and max manpower of 65k it makes him stronger than every other nation in his vicinity. Currently fighting a war against Uzbek and the indians. Winning this seems likely considering the timing of the war and defensible terrain, so Timmy might rise to A rank next session #### Oirat Why is Oirat doing so well please make it stop. 61 FL 45k max manpower make it seem like the devil incarnate looming over China but he still hasn't embraced rennaisance and it's spread very thin inside his borders so he might fall behind in tech and stagnate relatively soon. Let us all pray for China. #### Bahmanis Bahmanis big and strong 53 FL but meh manpower of 34k. Still strong and big. #### Delhi 8 ideas, 60 FL and 40k max manpower might seem impressive but considering the idea group he chose is plutocratic and that he is currently losing a war, that might have him end up in a bankruptcy, it doesn't look too good for the Sultan of Delhi. #### Bengal With 44 FL and 36k max manpower Bengal might seem out of place here but high dev and troop quality still make him a considerable enemy or ally to have. ### C #### Mewar Also in the war against Timmurids Mewar might be in for a lot of trouble but he might be able to pull through without dying. He isn't in too much debt and not far over his FL at 33/29 his max manpower could be higher but it's alright at 25k and he has good generals and a decent amount of ideas checked out at 3/7 and 2/7. #### Georgia Thick Georgia looks nice. FL and max manpower of 28k, 2/7 defensive ideas and almost 300 dev make him considerable but not that impressive compared to his neighbours. He might meme himself to greatness #### Zhejiang Zhejiang is super far behind in adm tech which makes him very far behind on ideas too. No ideas filled out and as a result his troop quality is fairly trash. He is also pretty far in debt so he might die to the Horde in the north ### D #### Hosokawa The shogun of Japan seems to be doing sort of badly. He is much weaker than any of the nations in Asia and with no ideas thanks to being african level in adm tech, his army is laughable. Still somehow better off than Uesugi #### Majapahit Weak army but 7 heavies and 3 gallies make the navy of Majapahit pretty strong. ### E #### Brunei No real navy or army to speak of so in a pretty terrible spot if Majapahit decides to attack. Found gold in Australia though so that's something #### Uesugi The other half of Japan. Pretty much a shithole that colonises. ### F #### Fire Nation F ## Africa ### A+ #### Mamluks High FL at 61 and max manpower of 47k. A lot of free expansion into Africa and Ottomans promise a strong Mamluks with the potential for Rum in the future. In comparsion to other africans it's so good that it's basically A+ tier ### A #### Morocco Morocco about to form Andalusia and it's nice. Too bad he is one the bullies of western europe. 37k max manpower 3/7 quality ideas and 50FL make his strength impressive. Putting it in A because the other Africans exist. ### B ### C #### Songhai Bad adm tech but good mil tech make it stronger than Mali but it's deep inside of Africa so it likely won't be relevant anytime soon. #### Kilwa Pretty much a shithole in terms of tech and ideas. Might become the trade bitch of the Mamluks, so that's something. Gold mines make it cabable of swinging around an army strong enough of taking over southern Africa which cuts it above Mali ### D #### Mali Being very far behind in tech make its death seem likely. The player crashing didn't help its chances of survival. ### E #### Kongo Wtf is this abomination and why is it 7 over FL against AI ## America ### A ### B ### C #### Portugal An exiled european that is bringing tech to the natives like a benovelent god. The stories of the natives will tell tales of the kind portugese that showed them how to use boats and what a horse is. #### Friesland Another exiled european that didn't quite reach the new world. He is building up a colony inside the Caribbean and soon he is going to unleash the abominations of dutch food across America. ### D #### Aztecs While Distinct didn't die to AI in fucking r/europe, he came quite close to that. He managed to unite Mexico and passed his reforms pretty early but he went 21 loans into debt and took 35 corruption to avoid bankruptcy and as result his nation is inevitably going to become a shithole of tech and ideas in the next few sessions. With no real threats in the new world so far Aztecs will probably bounce back over the next few hundred years. ### I #### Wichita With the help of a 5/6/5 ruler for the first 40 or so years of the game this guy spent 6k mana on devving up his provinces and he got 76 dev while only owning 3 provinces properly. Additionally each of his provinces has a good trade good. #### Haida Not quite as blessed of a nation as Wichita. It lacks the god ruler, is much further away from the benevolent Portugese and having had bad luck with his trade goods, Haida is worse off than Wichita on the other side of the continent. #### Pacajes I never played as one of the Incan nations but he only has 1 reform passed in 1492 so he can't be doing well. So I'll put him in I alongside the other irrelevant natives
