A Post is a content container created by an anonymous Player, which may include text, images, or video. A Post is created within a Persona and submitted to the Persona's community for curation (voting).

The goal of the Posting Player is to create content that the community feels is “in character” of the Persona, and therefore is Promoted. Promoted content is the “voice” of the Persona. So, to create Promoted content is to Speak through the Persona.

Another way to look at it is: A Player posts **public content** while wearing the Persona like a mask, so their **identity remains private**.

Choose a Persona you'd like to Post through. At the top of the main Persona page, select "Submit Post" and follow the steps. Once your Post is submitted it is moved into the "pending" feed while it goes through community curation (voting). If the community votes to Promote your Post it will graduate to the Persona's main page.

**To Post, a Player must stake 5 REP — if they don't have enough they may earn REP through curation.**

If their post is Promoted, they receive their staked REP back and receive 5 bonus REP. If their Post is Demoted, their Post is deleted and they lose their staked REP.

Pending Posts are Posts that have been submitted and are going through the curation process. Posts remain pending for the remainder of the Cycle it was submitted in. While pending, the community has the opportunity to Promote or Demote the Post. If the majority vote to Promote, the Post graduates to the Persona's main page. If the majority vote to Demote, the Post is deleted.

**To vote on Pending Posts, access it from the "Review pending" tab on the main Persona Page.**

**Anonymous Posting + public curation = anonymity with accountability.**

In Kurate all Players are anonymous, so that means all Posts are submitted anonymously but posted publicly. But because each post goes through curation, the community has a say over whether or not the Post gets Promoted to the Persona's main page, or Demoted (deleted).

By Posting anonymously a Player is more free to be themselves, since perceptions about their content won't impact their identity. Thus, there's no need to fear professional or social repercussions. This leads to more authentic public discourse, with less self-censorship.

All submitted Posts are subject to curtion by vote, which community members have until the end of the Cycle to cast. There are 3 possible outcomes:

**Promote**: If more community members vote to Promote, the Post graduates to the Persona's main page. The Posting Player receives their staked REP back, plus a 5 REP bonus.

**Demote**: If more community members vote to Demote, the Post is deleted. The Posting Player loses their 5 staked REP.

**Third state**: If the votes ends in a tie, or if the minimum vote total (3) is not reached, the Post is deleted. But the Poster receives their staked tokens back.

A Player's REP score enumerates their earned reputation. It signals a Player's ability to act in accordance to a community's social norms. In Kurate, a Persona develops a community of people interested in curating content around a specific topic or context. The community's curation sets that Persona's social norms.

**REP by Posting**: If a Player submits a Post in a Persona that the community finds appropriate (thus Promoted), they will be rewarded with 5 REP tokens.
