Check in with Connor about the post about the OT direction we were taking with Thijs. If he writes the first draft, he can move on to https://3.basecamp.com/4738529/buckets/18523847/messages/5383807718. Don't publish product posts until I get back.
- *AM: Update as of 4/11 - he's put together a first draft based on [this outline](https://hackmd.io/@n5QiPGfDQiuf5kQZ4JWOmA/Bku8gREo).*
He asked for my feedback on the [first draft](https://github.com/appsignal/appsignal-nextjs-blog/pull/678), which I left [here](https://github.com/appsignal/appsignal-nextjs-blog/pull/678#issuecomment-1303439821). He's addressed my comments [here](https://github.com/appsignal/appsignal-nextjs-blog/pull/678#issuecomment-1303568980). I'll leave this with you and Thijs to take forward. Alongside the feedback I've given, I'm not sure the tone is quite right too, can't put my finger on it - it seems a bit over-the-top and not the humble AppSignal tone we aim for, somehow?
**Connor and reviews**
On another note, I think we may need to guide Connor a little when it comes to reviews. I like the fact he makes such detailed feedback, but some of his comments are more opinion-led I reckon, rather than being suggestions for crucial changes to a post. [I left him some feedback here on a recent review](https://github.com/appsignal-writing/tech-writer-connor/pull/3#issuecomment-1299988227) and am interested in hearing your thoughts on this too.
He also pushed back against [this author's suggested expansion of a Zeitwerk topic](https://3.basecamp.com/4738529/buckets/18523847/messages/5371330369#recording5492876513), with the reason being: 'it’s not worth it as it’s not going to give readers actionable insights, just a deeper understanding of software architecture'. Would you agree with this? I think there's still value in sharing info about software architecture in posts, and we have done in previous posts.
I've handled all the newsletters, no need to think about that as well.
