# Home for Non-core Konveyor projects // todo: better title Konveyor GH org houses ~60 repos and a portion of the repos are not a part of projects that get shipped as Konveyor. To better align with the unified vision of Konveyor, there should be distinction between the core Konveyor repos and the rest of the Konveyor GH org repos ## Goals * Reduce confusion on Konveyor vs Non-core Konveyor projects * Define lifecycle of the projects ## Steps * Create definitions for various stages of the project * Experimental * Archived * Non-core Konveyor projects * If the project will be a part of a shipped release, then it is a core Konveyor project. If not, it is a non-core Konveyor project * Identify core Konveyor projects in the https://github.com/konveyor/ and make a list of non-core Konveyor projects * Any new project that comes into the ecosystem gets the `experimental` tag until it is well integrated (todo: define a criteria. This needs to go in the charter) * All the non-core Konveyor projects and the experimental new projects will live in a different GH org, eg: github.com/konveyor-sandbox * Projects that are no more relevant to Konveyor vision, will be archived and follows the governance process
