Shred To Earn Concept

Concept

  • Weekly Contest happening on Instagram
  • Everyone can participate (skate, snow, ski, surf, bmx etc.)
  • Best trick earns ETH
  • 5 days to upload entry, 2 days to declare winner

Ideas about

Trick

  • Single Clip
  • No music (raw footage)
  • Exclusively filmed for "Shred To Earn"
  • Must be a reel or post
  • Hashtags "gnars, #your-extreme-sport (i.e #skateboarding), #contest" , #shred2earn
  • Tag @gnarsdao in post

Verification

  • 1st Idea : Use GnarsDao filter on IG and record yourself saying "shred2earn week x" the same day you filmed your clip.

I (@knowhow92) can check #shred2earn hashtag daily, engage bellow contest entries and verify if entry is good to go. We can create a channel inside Gnars discord so I can then drop verified entries there and don't "get lost" in IG hashtags

  • 2nd idea : Join Gnars Discord and link your IG channel inside the #shredtoearn channel for verification. Entry must be uploaded from the same channel (and follow trick rules) or else it's invalid.

This is also a good way to verify and at the same time re-direct people from IG to Gnars Discord.

Winners

  1. Community voting from Gnars Holders

By allowing Gnars holders to vote who will win we hype people to buy Gnars and keep Gnars holders engaged with the project.

Unlike snapshot proposals, each Gnar holder can only cast 1 vote. Whether you have 1 or 100 Gnars it doesn't matter.

Negative

  • If we have lots of entries then it will be impossible for Gnars holders to check em all. Maybe we can filter the top 2 best entries from each sport with the help of our multi-sports team. Then ask for Gnars holders to vote

At this point I'd like to note that in my opinion sponsored athletes can participate but not allowed to win.

  1. Gnars Team Athlete Judge

Just like last time with Dave, a different Gnars Athlete chooses the winner every week. Simple and fast.

Negative :

  • Hate between extreme sports might affect judgement.

  • Little knowledge in judging tricks. I as a skateboarder can't judge how hard a scooter trick is.
