For example, you have Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world, and then you can also chill in the longest beach in the world in Cox's bazar. Thirsty for some hilly and wild exploration? Just take a bus to Bandarban and trek deep into the forest! ## Best places to visit in Bangladesh There are obviously thousands of tourist destinations all across Banglaesh. In fact, barely any one local citizen has travelled all of Bangladesh and seen its gems. But, we can obviously curate a list for you: --- ### Dhaka city This bustling and lively city is at the heart of the country, and has some of the best hotels, restaurants and services to offer. Apart from that, - you can experience some of the busiest streets and markets in the world - walk through old Dhaka streets and checkout buildings that are hundreds of years old - eat some of the tastiest street food in different parts of the city Some popular tourist destinations: #### Old Dhaka This is the oldest part of Dhaka that has been the heart of the city for the past 300+ years. Here, you will be able to see the oldest building in Dhaka and discover how life thrives even within congestion and population density. The following destinations are close to each other and you can definitely fit these within the same itinerary. **Sights to see** - **Ahsan monzil (Pink Palace)**: Historical castle from Mughal era, has a museaum full of old artifacts. Entry fee for foreigners is about 500 BDT (~7 USD). If you are lucky, there will be a festival going on, like a Bangla book fair in February, or a 'pitha' fair ('pitha' is a bengali family of sweets) during winter. This region has some untouched forests and hill tracks which are absolutely perfect for adventurous treking. But you also have the a really beautiful coastline.
