# PSVN - Basic Training Guidelines > This is official guidelines for the Basic Training of the Public Security of Vietnam. > This include everything that an Instructor need for the Academy and this guidelines should be used at all times in the Entry Academy. > Please be aware of the admin rules and the rules around the Public Security Academy when hosting. All commands and tools used must be strictly in the interest of the training and not for fun. You set an example for PSVN and must be formal and mature at all times. This document must not be shared with anyone outside of the Academy team. > You should not just copy and paste from this guide - make your training fun and interactive and explain all of your points. ## Announcement Reminders Before anything, make sure that you did an event check for your training. After that, you may now proceed to find an available parade deck and may announce the training in the #shouts (PSVN discord) once these two steps have been fulfilled. Ping LEVEL 1 for your event. **(Private trainings are NOT allowed.)** ## Event Starting Guidelines > After preparations, you may introduce yourself with proper username and your rank stated. You may order your attendees to greet you properly. > > All trainees must understand and follow these rules at all times. They have on warning and on their second incident, must be kicked from the tryout. Announce these rules with the ‘:m’ command. 1. You must call me "Instructor" at all times. 2. Talking over the host will result in a warning. On your second warning, you will be removed from the training. 3. Immaturity or trolling will not be tolerated and you will be removed immediately from the training. 4. If you want to ask a question, you must ask, “Permission to speak, Instructor?” and await a response. 5. Going AFK without informing your host will result in being immediately kicked from the training. ## Event Ending Guidelines After completing all the stuff, you are to gather your attendees and form a wedge. Those who failed the training shall be dismissed and NOT be included. Screenshot after forming the wedge. You are required to include the leaderboard of the picture. After screenshotting, you may dismiss all of your attendees. Post the end wedge picture in #shouts & state that your training has ended. Then, log your training right after it ends. ## Part 1 - Physical Training / Basic Drills After reading the rules you must explain the following information: **Drill Commands** - SFL - Single File Line - STS - Shoulder to Shoulder - Halt - Stop - Gap - Fill any gaps in the line **Face movements:** - "Left, Face": Turn left by 90 degrees - "Right, Face": Turn right by 90 degrees - "Left, Incline": Turn left by 45 degrees - "Right, Incline": Turn right by 45 degrees. - "About, Face": Turn 180 degrees - "Control, Face": face the host when they move. - "Center, Face": Face in the direction of the host (break control face) Once all information is given, give them a short practice with drills and faces, faces should take the most. After faces, march them to the obby area and let them practice each course at least once. *(Don’t fail people for failing the obby. Fail those who cheated and want to give up or didn’t even attempt to complete it)* ## Part 2 - Classroom > During Part 2, you will need to give trainees information about our forces and there will be two part, and there should have each quiz after each part. > *(Bring all attendees to the classroom then make them sit down. Make sure to tell them to take screenshot during the classroom before you start. After that, copy and paste the following information.)* ***In the following, we will have a lecture on fundamental etiquettes and proper character, needed to be fulfilled when you go on duty.*** ***Ensure you take notes, At the end of each part you will be quizzed.*** **Section 1 - Purpose of PSVN** The PSVN is the only law enforcement agency in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The PSVN has been given the ability to enforce civilian law on the immigrants, civilians, and businesses when you are on-duty as PSVN at the City. **Section 2 - Ministry Regulations** PSVN Personnel must not be immature and must be respectful at all times. PSVN Personnel must not be biased towards anyone. PSVN Personnel must follow the strict standards of the Ministry in the ways of greetings, grammar and knowledge of the chain of command and regulations. PSVN personnel are expected to follow proper dress code at all times, including regulations for medals & other accessories. PSVN personnel represent the division while on duty and in uniform. Keep your wits and be smart. Enlisted (Level 1 - Level 2) are not permitted to use the detain tool while on duty. **Section 3 - Ministry Rank Structure** **Enlisted:** **Level 1 and Level 2** > Enlisted ranks are the PSVN’s primary ranks. These are filled with patrolling officers who have integrated themselves into the ministry's standards and community. **Non-Commissioned Officer:** **Corporal, Sergeant, Sergeant Major.** >NCO rank/s are still considered low ranks, but they've been sufficiently integrated with the standards and community to begin creating a reputation for themselves and their potential as future leaders of the PSVN. >Enlisted & NCO are to be addressed “Comrade” and should be greeted by saying “Greetings, Comrade”. **Officer:** **Sub-lieutenant, Lieutenant, Captain and Major.** >Officers are considered the ministry's Middle Ranks. They have demonstrated their potential as future leaders. As officers, they can host ministry's patrol event and also be supervisor in-game. **Senior Officer Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel and Senior Colonel** >Senior Officers are considered the ministry’s High Ranks. They are usually sub-division high rank/high command, and should be contacted if there are any problems with their division. >Officers and Senior Officers are to be addressed “Comrade [RANK]”. **High Command: Major General, Lieutenant General, Senior Lieutenant General, General.** >The High Command are the division's intelligence. Their word on the PSVN is official and in the best interests of the Ministry High Command. Major General and Lieutenant General are usually head/co-head of divisions, while Senior Lieutenant General and General usually are Deputy Minister/Minister of PSVN. >High Command are to be addressed “Comrade [RANK] [NAME]”. **Current Deputy Minister of Public Security: Senior Lieutenant General MaureenMatthews9 Current Minister of Public Security: General police_law11 (Kevin)** **Section 4 - Chain of Command** The Chain of Command is set up so that higher-ranking members are not burdened with problems that a lower-ranking member can handle. >**Chain of Command**: Colonel -> Senior Colonel -> Major General -> Lieutenant General -> Senior Lieutenant General -> General **Section 5 - Basic Equipment Information and Guidelines** *To ensure that PSVN personnel can execute their duties more efficiently, equipment is provided in-game. Information and guidelines for the PSVN Equipment are as follows:* **Handcuffs:** >**a, Detain System:** It's purpose is to detain any individual who violates the law and regulations. It is used for interrogation and to suppress a person and his/her actions, as well as to move someone out of a prohibited position. You may not detain people who are sitting down. The Detain system may not be used by a PSVN Enlisted (Level 1 - Level 2) > >**b, Arrest System:** The arrest system is a special equipment for the PSVN. It has the ability to arrest anybody who is found breaking the game's rules and regulations, as well as anyone who is caught committing crimes in game, such as smuggling. robbery, and murder. This tool takes the criminal to a detention facility or a prison, where they will be kept for a specified period of time. All PSVN Personnel must not use this system to abuse their authority. This is only used to capture criminals and to put them in prison, this is not similar to a detain tool. The Arrest system may not be used by a PSVN Enlisted (Level 1 - Level 2) **Taser** >The Taser is used to suppress violators and stop suspects from escaping. The usage of this tool must only be when necessary and should not be overused upon reasons that are not applicable. This tool shall not be misused and abused. If one is caught, he/she will receive punishments. The Taser system may not be used by a PSVN Level 1. **PSVN weapons (K-59/AKM):** >K-59 and AKM guns are primarily used for combat, suppression, and elimination of any civilian who breaks the law. You cannot kill any person unless you have a valid justification to do so. To prevent this, you may fire a warning shot at them and warn them before you kill. Any misuse will result in severe punishments. At this point in the training you should ask the trainees if they have any questions. Then, ask them four questions on what they have just learned. ## Part 3 - Defensive Tactics First, you need to give trainees information about our Use of Force. > **Five Levels of Force:** **Cooperative Controls:** The officer can diffuse a situation simply through being present and assertive. > >**Contact Controls:** Non-Pain techniques such as restraining and grabbing are used to ensure compliance, this may be used if a suspect is refusing to remain present. > >**Compliance Techniques:** The deployment of balanced force is used to overcome an abusive or violent suspect, equipment used may include a baton. > >**Defensive Tactics:** If the suspect is acting violently towards leo/public then they must take immediate action to regain control of the situation, this may include the deployment of pepper spray. > >**Deadly Force:** If there is an immediate and direct threat to life then the Operator may deploy deadly force, this describes any techniques/equipment that may incapacitate the suspect. >**Defensive Tactics** >*Defensive Tactics are used by Police Force in order to protect themself against a suspect via the use of physical contact or tools. Suspect can often assault, harass or get too close to you. If this occurs, you are permitted to use tools such as pepper spray or baton.* > >*Note that you MUST give at least 3 warnings to a subject before using any form of contact or tools to defend yourself.* > > **DEFENSIVE TIPS:** Always make sure you know how close someone is to you Stay alert at all times Take cover if needed Call for backup if outnumbered or if general assistance is needed. Be ready for the worst possible scenarios Don’t get cornered Follow the Level of Force Then you will pratice with trainees, give them Baton + Taser and practice handling simple, minor situation with trainees.
