# CNRS Section 07: Labs, GDRs, and Researchers Recruitment Competition _by Pelcat Maxime (IETR-VAADER) - 2019.09.10_ ###### tags: `VAADER` `Seminar` ![](https://i.imgur.com/F1DYc4m.jpg) ## Abstract Section 07 is one of the 41 sections (+5 interdisciplinary commissions) constituting the "Centre national de la recherche scientifique" (CNRS). It is linked to the CNRS INS2I Institute (Institute for Information Sciences and their Interactions) and covers the subjects of "Information sciences: signals, images, languages, automation, robotics, interactions, and integrated hardware and software systems". These subjects corresponds to the domain of cybernetics, as defined by Norbert Wiener in the 1950s. This year, CNRS INS2I has recruited 9 researchers "Chargés de Recherche (CRs). Section 07 subjects are addressed by about 50 laboratories in France and 19 research groups (GDRs). This seminar will give an overview of the Section 07 laboratories, GDRs, and of the recruitment competition.
