--- tags: commission, rp, reika, star breaker, stellaeRuinae --- # Rtil Star Breaker (Halloween) Sketch Commission ## Summary Every Halloween, I think about what (or who) the characters I play would dress up as~ This one is a little ahead of schedule... ## General * **General Reference:** [Your own work][sb-rtil-suit]! ♥ * **Vibe:** Casual confidence; ill-restrained smugness. * **Figure:** Lithe, with some [modest curves][sb-back-bared]. * It's worth noting that she's short; she doesn't share Angela's build. * **Pose:** A meld of Angela's poses in these two images: * [Head turned towards the viewer, body facing away][angela-lobcorp-grin]; hand on hip (not in her pocket). * Legs 'crossed' a la [Angela's flashback portrait][angela-ruina-labcoat] from Library of Ruina. --- ### Body * **Expression:** Utterly, *painfully* [self-assured][angela-lobcorp-grin]. * Sorry about the low resolution; [MAXUSHA][maxusha-angela-grin] has a similar depiction which might be easier to see. * **Hair:** Just as you drew it before - silvery, faded cyan, wavy and somewhat wild~ * If you could have some of her hair fall over her shoulders, a la [Angela's][angela-ruina-labcoat], that would be perfect! Otherwise it's business as usual~ * **Eyes:** A la [SCAS's work][sb-scas-ref], but with clearer pupils. * Unlike her hair and skin, her irises should tend towards vibrant, vivid colors - ideally ones that contrast with her skin (red, green, blue); try to avoid yellow. * As noted before, don't worry too much about this: Pretty much everyone (including her designer) draws Star Breaker's eyes [differently][sb-200mj-reika] from [piece][sb-swimsuit-1] to [piece][sb-100oj-default]; the gist is that red and green should have a significant presence in her irises. ### Effects * **SFX:** Only in a variant; see the associated section~ * **Markings/Etc.:** N/A - none of her [interface ports][sb-back-bared] should be visible here. ### Other * **Clothing:** As [Angela][angela-ruina-labcoat], from Library of Ruina: Formal business attire (tie, suitjacket, miniskirt), with a labcoat overtop. * Please make sure to get the buckles at her cuffs~ * The shoes she's wearing are heels. --- ## Variant 1 A 'gory' version of the initial sketch, riffing off of Angela's [Bloodbath][angela-ruina-bloodbath] sprite—just with soot and ash instead of blood~ ### Body * **Expression:** Broad, creepy slasher smile~ * Feel free to adopt Angela/Bloodbath's; it's almost exactly spot-on for what I have in mind. * The issue is that her smile is too reserved for Reika—slim and controlled, even though she's sadistically enjoying herself. * To put it another way: For this piece, Angela is _too **good at** controlling herself._ Reika isn't quite so stalwart; whenever things turn violent, a certain degree of *glee* shows through in her expressions. ### Effects * **SFX:** * Covered with ashes and soot—mostly, but not only, on her labcoat. * The idea is that she ended up covered in someone else's blood, and a brief, intense burst of heat (read: an explosion) *sort of* burned it off. _Anything that **didn't** burn away ended up staining her labcoat as ash instead of blood._ * Her labcoat should still be streaked and smeared with what used to be 'gore', a la the [Bloodbath][angela-ruina-bloodbath] image—it should be suggestive of excessive violence. *She **personally** got her hands very, **very** dirty.* * None of the "blood" should drip or pool at her feet; nearly all of the water inside of it has boiled off. Her clothes are effectively dry. * By the same token, the labcoat shouldn't be singed—even if Reika doesn't need its protection, it *is* meant to take this kind of punishment~ ## Fixes * Thank you for adjusting the clips on her cuffs~ I'm glad you caught that! ♥ * Her labcoat is [missing its pockets][angela-lobcorp-grin-b]. * Could you adjust her skintone to match [your earlier image][sb-rtil-suit]? I realize this is tiny, but her skin is a little yellower here, and the stark white of the labcoat brings it out. * I like what you've done with her eyes~ But the resolution of the image means that they come out as an odd kind of pastel.
