# SCooter Tracking and Monitoring

## Manual
The product consist of three main components:
1. Modem

2. SCoBox
This is made of in a plastic portal box enabling it to easily fit into small spaces.


3. Battery
This is a 6000mAh, and can work for over 4 days a week without need of recharge.

## Connecting the Components Together.
* The modem is the first to be connected to the SCoBox as shown below.

* Then the battery is connected to the SCoBox as shown below.

Product should be keep in horrizotal position as shown in figure below

### How to Create an Account
Log into the Scompany address at *scompany.xyz*
At the website create a personal login account from which you will access the Dashboard onto which you can monitor the status of the SCoBox.
### Operation of SCoBox

The components of the SCoBox are arranged as shown above.
Once the SCoBox is powered, it is monitored through the Dashboard as shown below in the "Using SCo Dashboard" section.
The USER will recieve an email alert through the email address with which he/she registered at *scompany.xyz *
The message alerts will be to inform user about the status of the ScoBox therefore, informing him of the state of the people or commodities with which the SCoBox is attached.
### Using SCo Dashboard

The Dashboard display has 6 areas all are shown in the figure above.
The Roll
This area shows the horrizotal angel or and reports to the system every 5 seconds about the tilt. This is designed to ensure that as from physics a tilt of more than 45 degrees is indicative of falling over.
This is monitored and it is the status which is reported in the "Message area".
The pitch area
This shows the vertical inclination of the box.
Speed area
This shows the speed
Last Location area
This is a section which gives the location geographocal co-ordinates of the SCoBox. This helps client know exact location of the SCoBox hence the location of the people using it.
Google Map area
This helps map out the route which was taken by the SCoBox thereby allowing for easy tracing.
### Receiving Event Notifications
A notification as one shown below should be recieved under ten seconds should there be a tilt of over 45 degrees.
The alert message comes with a contact number for help and checking on the status of theuser of the SCoBox.

## Project Log

**SCo** ***THE BIGGER EYE***
### Week 1
We discussed the ideas of possible projects we could take on for final PBL
project listed included:
* Smart health coldchain box
* Scooter status monitor and tracker
* Smart rubbish_bin
### Week 2
Details were discussed under each proposed project:
1. Smart health coldchain box
* The health coldchain box, was a small refrigerator using peltier plates to effect the cooling effect with a small fan to aid heat transfer.
* Addition of phase change material and ice to aid keep temperature much longer for over 29hrs withour need for powering.
* This would aid transfer to distant areas and proper storage once there
* The box would then be tracked and be able to locate nearest hospital for easy storage.
2. Scooter status monitor and tracker
Scooter rental service with the ability to tell the location of the scooter as well as tell it's status incase of an accident.
3. Smart rubbishbin
The photo could tell when bin is full. and its location for easy gabbage collection.
### Week 3
Conclusive discussion on taking the "**Scooter status monitor and tracker**". Discussed possible ways of checking the status.The status to check was speed, and whether got an accident or not.
Services to be offered
* Rental service to cubb on buying more scooters.
* To owner, it offers status update of accident (possibility of damage)
* Offers the ability to easily find or locate your scooter among a variety in a Large parking lot.
* Eco-friendliness due to reduction in number of service scooter in countries (Indonesia, Uganda and most developing countries) where they are used as public service vechiles. Thus, lowering on the pollution levels.
### Week 4
Assignment of the tasks to different group members.
Discussed during the week four.

Identification and check for availability of the components to be used on the scooter.
