# Raspberry Pi Tutorial

## Install Raspberry Pi OS using Raspberry Pi Imager

### SD card formatter
Download at [https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/](https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/).

### Raspberry Pi Imager
Download at [https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/](https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/).

#### click "==CHOOSE OS=="
> choose "Raspberry Pi OS(32-bit)"

#### Optional: preconfigure OS
> press ==Ctrl== + ==Shift== + ==X==
> choose "Set locale settings"

#### Choose SD card
> choose "CHOOSE STORAGE"

#### Write and verify SD card
> choose "WRITE"

## Start VNC and SSH
### Install full VNC

$ sudo apt-get install realvnc-vnc-server realvnc-vnc-viewer

### If appear "cannot currently show the desktop" in VNC

$ sudo raspi-config

## Perfences setting
> ==menu== > ==Perfences== > ==Raspberry Pi Configuration== > ==Localisation==
> Set Locale
>> Language: zh (Chinese)
>> Country: TW (Taiwan R.O.C.)
>> Character Set: UTF-8
>>
> Set Timezone
>> Area: Asia
>> Location: Taipei
>>
> Set WiFi Country
>> Country: TW Taiwan

## Connect to WIFI
### Set up

$  sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

### Show IP address

$  ifconfig

## Install Chinese environment

$ sudo apt-get install fonts-arphic-uming scim scim-chewing

## User management
### Add new user

$ sudo adduser <user name>
$ sudo su
$ adduser <user name> sudo
$ exit

### Query user name

$ whoami

### Switch user

$ sudo su - <user name>
