#### devenir.art – visual arts network in Centre-Val de Loire, is a non profit organization created in 2018

The network gathers a hundred of members / professionals (individuals and legal entities) of the extended field of visual arts (artists, curators, registrar, elected representatives and employees of local and regional authorities, and also agent of orther fields that have interest for the issue and concern of the visuals arts : ex : firm that host artists in residency). We built a collective speech to represent the field in the aim to taking it into consideration. We are contributing to reflexion at a national level. The network is a member of the FRAAP - Fédération des réseaux et associations d’artistes plasticien·ne·s.

### SODAVI:
The creation of the organization is a first anwser to a commission by the State and the Region to lead a Shema d’Orientation pour le Developpement des Arts Visuels. This concertation, was a collective work of about two years that has been concluded in november 2020.
It is a cooperation framework to replace the artist in the center of the ecosystem, ending a period during which the artworks where at the center of the politics. The artists conditions of leaving, creating, working, is a the heart of the aims of the SODAVI.
The works as allow the professionals to built recommendations on 8 strategic subjects for the field in Centre-Val de Loire :

### COVID 19 :
Since the beginning of the pandemic we develop a communication on the ressources for the sector (https://devenir.art/informations-covid-19-2/), we also lead a study about the issues, difficulties and need of the professionals (https://devenir.art/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/devenir.art_synthèse_questionnaire_Covid_19_20200511.pdf).
We also developped a « Dispositif d’accompagnement d’urgence pour les artistes-auteur.rice.s » implanted in Centre-Val de Loire, that afford an individual support to determine if the artist could have access to support by the state (fonds de solidarité open to artists since april, …). The programm helps about 100 artists (https://www.culture.gouv.fr/Regions/Drac-Centre-Val-de-Loire/Actualites-regionales/Dossier-Covid-19-Informations-aides-et-reprises-en-Centre-Val-de-Loire/Un-dispositif-d-accompagnement-d-urgence-des-artistes-auteur.rice.s-en-Centre-Val-de-Loire).

### Professionalization :
A glass celling has long time slow French artists in their international career.Graduating from Arts School or others programs, young artistes needs at first appropriates conditions to develop their workat a professionalslevel, and more specifically where they decide to settle. Beyond a proper training and learning of arange of skills, access to a studio, tools, informations and resources about their status, but also grants, residencies, and organizations that can help them to developtheir projects, is essential. How facilitates their access to these elements? How connect them with professionals and organizations regionaly, nationaly and internationaly?
Our missions towards artists especially :
#### Represent them collectively even if we are not a federation (trade union).
#### Afford them expertise, advice, individual or collective support by leading them to organization that can help them to built their projects (internationaly, with company, schools, …).
#### Help them better knows their rights, especially the rights they have to access to training programm. The aims are for artists to have better understanding of the support they can find to developp their practices. For example :

Takes place in Poland for 6 years.
Aims also at promoting students and graduate.

Art students face pb in entering professional life.
It helps to have digital abilities though to start in professional life, especially in visual arts.
Not so easy to sell new arts medias (ex of Poland)
It's easy to sell commercial job.
Question around the balance between both.

1/ RIXC – **Agnese Baranova** (Directrice et chargée de projet, professeure au RISEBA, Université des affaires, des arts et de la technologie/ Architecture et Centre des médias H2O 6) (10′)
RIXC centre for new media culture.
Historical background on RIXC: e-lab that still exists and involves young artists.
Main activities involving young media artists:
-> art research along with local universities
-> RIXC Gallery
-> art science residencies with WS at the uni (knowledge sharing)
-> RIXC rural lab launched last year, developing the bio lab with symposiums with young artists (greenhouse performance)
-> RIXC art science festival with international WS for creating artworks

2/ KONTEJNER – **Jadrana Ćurković** (15/20’)
Jadrana has a marketing et communication background.

International group of young artists including students. 5 days of WS with 15 attendees.
WS objective was to implement a different structure in their minds so they have better understanding of their previous et forthcoming achievements
It was a mix of pratical work, discussion and presentation work.
Group work.
Thoughts and discussions about the relationship companies have with arts.
Kind of coaching about how to think, develop and present artwork.
Guests speakers.
Artists was afraid to do sthg connected to corporate work vs art.
Media relations as market and media approach is often delt by artists
The WS seems to kind of coaching of young artists to develop a new approach of their work to turn it on sthg that would meet the professional systems.
Going out of the confort zone and being more open.
It was all about professional and personal development.
3/ FACT – **Charlotte Horn** (15/20’)
