## 1: the first of the list and the first you tried from me.

## Couscou: The most loved dish of us, french people.
We could say that couscous is everything that's good about france. Diversity, family oriented dish and tasty food. it's basically a Pot-au-feu but with a north African twist and spices. Easily done with or without meat and you can also be free on which vegetables you desire. I'll however elaborate on what I, Kristen, put in mine.
This perfect dish can be stored in the fridge overnight or even the day after and is rumored to be even better in those case. So, don't be afraid of doing a whole batch of this.
### Ingrédients (4 people) :
* 200 grams of medium sized semolina
* 3 carrots
* 3 zucchini
* 2 potato
* 2 onion
* 1 can of crushed tomatoes
* tomato paste
* ras el hanout (couscous spice mix, basically means "top of the shelf", like your best stuff. the spice mix different slightly from region to region because of that. they will all do the job nicely)
* vegetables or mushrooms broth or water
### Steps :
#### the dish :
* Peel the carrots and potatoes and cut it into thick (like thick, i mean it) chunk like 1/2 cm for the carrots or even double for the potato.
* cut the zucchini thickly also.
* dice the onion roughly
* with enough olive oil to caught the bottom of a large (largeee and tall) casserole, turn the fire to medium high and begin to cook the onion.
* after 5 minute of cooking the onion add the tomato paste, olive oil and 2 to 3 big spoon of spice.
* let this fry up for 1 minute wich turning it with a spoon
* add your veggies, fry for 5 minute
* add your 1 can of crushed tomatoes and covert the all pot with enough water or broth so you see all thz veggies floatung nicely
* bring that to a gentle simmer and wait for 30 minute to 1 hours and serve after adjusting salt to your taste.
#### with it : semoule
* take 200 ml of water (the same as your semolina) and add half a tea spoon of salt and bring to a boil.
* pour in a bowl the semolina and two spoon of olive oil and mix
* pour in the bowl the boiling water on the semolina and stir a little.
* cover and wait 5 minute
* add to microwave for 2 min or oven (200°c) for 5 min
* add two spoon of butter and adjust the texture using a fork and going inside with a back and forth movement.
* serve in a dish and cover with veggies and add sauce on top
