# Custom Amhara (JH)

## Volume
- 28L (main compartment capacity excluding side pockets and front panel)

## Exterior design

### Front
- No PALS (webbing can be bartacked)
- Front compartment with double zip access
- Possible to open without unbuckling straps

- **Note:** The large QAP entry point should be at the back of the lid, near the carry handle

### Side
- 2x bellowing 2L side pockets (same material as pack external)
- Inspiration from [Savotta Kahakka 25](https://www.savotta.fi/products/kahakka-25l?srsltid=AfmBOoqoTfMVK-FV5_aPJR5uTWTTb8Eix2ryqEHUGktk4iTLYADFyaqu)
- Easy-to-use SR buckle setup for compression
- Savotta use G-hooks for Kahakka, but here would prefer buckles
- Reinforced side gusset handles for easy handling
- Kahakka side pocket looks like this:

### Lid
- Removable / replaceable
- Two external-facing QAPs
- One larger with double zip
- Other smaller with single zip
- The large QAP can cover almost the entire lid, with the zip located close to the top carry handle
- Reinforced carry handle (thicker webbing)

### Main compartment and laptop access
- Double zipper clamshell access to main compartment
- Regular Amhara style cinch access to main (under lid)
- Separate zippered access to 16" laptop section on side
- Clamshell and laptop access zips protected by flap

### Bottom of the pack
- Reinforced bottom that wraps around entire lower part of the pack
- Stiff enough to be self-standing

### External fabrics and materials
- All zippers regular reverse coil (no Aquaguard or Uretek)
- Plastic buckles (attached to prevent dangling when open)
- All hardware used should be identical to or replaceable with [Savotta spare parts](https://www.savotta.fi/collections/repair-and-spare-parts)
- Front and sides: 1000D Cordura (colour: RAL 7013)
- Harness: standard Azo design (500D Cordura)
- Desert Night Camo highlights (500D) under lid and in front admin panel
- No Hypalon (can use webbing instead)
- Webbing material: Mil-spec 17337
