# Outside booking issue

## User story

As a member, I want a dedicated "outside bookings" section in my Inbox, so I can filter to see only those leads/bookings.

## Hypothesis

If we create a dedicated "outside booking" section in the Inbox, usage of outside bookings will increase.

## Issue description

We have heard from [at least one very chatty member](https://www.gigsalad.com/admincp/members/info-feed/84962) that they would like to be able to view quotes that were sent with the "Book an Outside Gig" tool.

Such functionality could also present a way for us to push the outside booking tool, if so desired. When no outside bookings are present, we could display a small graphic with an explanation of this feature and a link to how to use it. (Such a link may still be present in some form when outside bookings _are_ present.)

#### Things to discuss prior to starting:

1. What % of bookings in the prior year were outside bookings?
2. Do we want to continue encouraging these?
3. How big of a business opportunity do we feel this is or isn't?
4. Is there a natural place for this to live in the sidebar of the Inbox section? If it's only natural to live within the "Gig Leads" section, does that provide enough exposure to have any possible business impact?

#### Primary criteria:

- [ ] 1. Implemented as an A/B test
- [ ] 2. Shows only outside booking quotes/bookings when some are available
- [ ] 3. Shows a small message/value proposition and link to the outside booking tool when no outside bookings are present

#### Criteria to discuss
1. Do we still want a link to the outside booking tool when outside bookings are present? (Makes the outside booking tool a bit more accessible)
