# Communication to Coronasafe Team
Dear Coronasafe Team
First of all, let me convey the compliments from the CODD-K team for building a wonderful platform for managing the COVID-19 Pandemic in our state.
After going through the presentation and the realising the potential of your platfrom, we realise that there is good scope for collaboration between our teams. Let me describe our core competencies and orientation.
We are now a team of volunteers with more than 60 members spread across various countries. Our team members share expertise in the fiels from Data Science, IT, Information Science, Cognitive Science, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Computer Science, etc. Our focus since the beginning was on data openness, security, quality, etc. We created our dashboard to deliver easy visualisation for the laymen. Later on, our academic inclination made us to communicate our efforts, now published by the Oxford Unviersity Press for the JAMIA. At prsent we are worried only about the quality of public data releases were are dependent on. In this context, let me propose the following values we can add to your core solutions:
1. We can make our dashboard better if we get access to anonymised pandemic data from each district. However, we are not sure whether your app is being used by all district health services teams. If you have access only for one district, we can take it as a case study. Moreover, we would like to see if you can include consent forms for patients so that we this could also be extended to a registry that can be used for genetic studies, both host and pathogen studies. If automatically a consent form is incorporated (with proper Ethics approval) it would be a great source for having a registry of patients interested to participate in a genetic study. A lot can be done with such a resource, since the severity of the disease and other details is available.
3. We can help on better projections and pandemic predictions if we get the necessary pandemic data. Our team has the necessary scientific computations prowess.
4. We can help improving the quality of data and further release the data in open data formats for any future referece, studies, analysis, policy-making, etc.
5. We can jointly report the pandemic scenario within the state and how the state collectively managed the pandemic. This academic documentation is highly relevant in the world of knowledge and always increase our visibility.
6. We can help to improve your visisibility and acceptance at the ground level, if you see some gap in that area.
7. Our team has some software and network security experts, and if you need any help in that regard we can help.
8. We can also offer help on AI/ML frameworks, if any, needed in the process.
I have simply mentioned some possibiities and we can work it out if we get more clarity on the problems you face and how far you have succuessfully reached in deploying the tool at the grassroot level. We would like to know how accurately you're updating information from hospitals.
Hopefully, we can have a con-call and sort it out.
Best Regards
for
