### Statements (Of Interest)
> I understand the difficulties of pursuing further study in the arts to a higher level. However, I am deeply motivated by its allure. While my career path is not fixed, I hope to put my skills in photography or direction. I will strive to be an independent photographer in some form when I can be.
> — Chi Hei (Aden) Lao
> However, nothing in life comes without its challenges. Growing up and pursuing education in a post-war country has been dreadful, where the extracurricular activities have been and still are to some extent limited. Therefore, as a freshman student in high school, I realized that in order for me to explore everything that the world of marketing has to offer, I have to pursue my undergraduate studies abroad.
> — Korab Gashi
> My art was kind of avatar communicating with them instead of myself. I used my talent to create personalized little comics of my friends. That was my way of communication that put them always in happier mood. I wanted to explore everything. And I was somehow testing my capabilities. Always forward, always more as this is the only way of getting better. I was playing the piano and I loved singing chansons. I won the junior singing competition organized by French institute in Slovakia. I danced ball room dances and competed together with my brother in Czech and Slovak international competitions. I played football and tennis, later I tried judo and even box. And of course, books and movies...fantastic creatures and worlds, the possibility to become somebody else and live different lives, get advice and solution, relax, escape, family bonds even.
> — Danka Uherová
Note: The letter is signed! (Nice personal detail.)
> The older I become, the more my passion for art and writing grows. No matter how much I felt pressured to choose an ordinary career path, I have always lost interest in it, because I felt it lacked something important to me. I realized that I simply cannot devote my life to any field where creativity does not lie in the heart of it as well as that my interests are broader–-therefore, as I did not want to settle for one specialization–-I decided to pursue a double-major degree, which has led me to the decision of pursuing both Visual Arts and Creative Writing degree at PSCC.
