# HashesDAO Proposal - HashedMeme Contest Flywheel - DRAFT ## TLDR **What?** Incentivize the creation and distribution of memes (jpgs/gifs) that capture attention and drive engagement around HashesDAO and Hashes NFTs. Use this attention to drive further mints on Hashes NFTs, as well as potentially create new "permutation game" revenue streams. **How?** Use hashes of the images displayed on any given website to mint a free hash NFT, which serves as a sort of *proof of off-chain beauty* and claim to rewards related to that hashed content. **Why?** Demonstrate the sheer power of the Hashes NFT as the ***primitive for decentralized curation*** that we've all been waiting for... 👀 Hash Rules Everything Around Me 👀 ## Structure Each permutation (or the first permutation) serves as a time-limited meme contest. The contest has 3 phases: 1. Leaderboard Race 2. Winner Selection 3. Auction & Reward Payout ### 1. Leaderboard Race - Participants can either create their own DANK HashesDAO related meme (aka **HashedMeme**)or post popular ones that are part of the contest. - As a HashedMeme creator you will: - Create dank meme image... plz optimize for maximal FLEX and ROFL i.e. **Flex Quotient** - Post the HashedMeme on Twitter, Reddit, Medium, your own website, wherever, as long as a bot can crawl to the website and check the hash of the image to verify its presence and visibility - Take the hash of the image posted, and use that as a seed phrase to generate a free mint hash NFT - Using a Permutation-specific contest website, submit an **initial post claim ticket** using your hash mint nft address, and the url where the meme content is displayed. - This begins the validation process, and your job as a creator now is to rally people to repost your HashedMeme all over the internet! - As a reposter you will: - Post the image on some website - Submit a **repost ticket** with the image's hash (matching the creator's hash nft) and the url where the image is displayed - Bot crawls to website to validates this repost. - Should this be done by creating a POAP or other blockchain attestation? Plz advise on most realistic scalable solution for this. - The success of any HashedMeme is the result of the coordination of its creator and its reposters, collectively known as its **MemeTeam** ### 2. Winner Selection i.e. Voting & Leaderboard Mechanics ##### How to gauge the **Flex Quotient** of a HashedMeme? - All submited HashedMemes will be displayed on a contest aggregator website/feed - A HashedMeme's spot on the feed is sorted by top number of reposts i.e. top repost HashedMeme is top spot - Every Hashes NFT holder (including free mints) can participate in voting by submitting likes on their favorite Hashed Memes, to claim a **Vote Raffle** ticket. - Submission of this like = ticket to a raffle, either paid or free (proof of work is enough) - The leaderboard is just a race to get likes. The top x winning teams at the end of the time limit are the winners. ### 3. Auction & Reward Payouts - The top x winning MemeTeams are awarded a **TopMeme prize** from the **Reward Pool** - The 1st place meme is minted into a 1/1 NFT that is placed up for auction - 50% of auction proceeds goes to the HashedMeme creator - Up to them to offer to increase split with the rest of their team... this could become the norm anyways but it would be cool to see it happen organically - 50% to HashesDAO - Royalties on 1/1 resale go to HashesDAO - How can we enforce this if the 1/1 gets fractionalized? #### Reward Pool This is the opportunity to collect a variety of rare NFTs. Our strategy should be to purchase some rare NFTs of a blue-chip or mid-tier collection, along with multiple floors. The rare ones will stay in our DAO, the floors will be awarded as **TopMeme prizes**. We can offer increasingly rarer prizes as our treasury expands and it's not a big deal for us to flex like that. If we want to sweeten the deal, we can add in some share of eth collected from mints, resales/royalties accrued or voting revenue accrued during the game. #### TopMeme MemeTeam Reward Splits - Creator receives 25% of the prize pool - The remaining 75% is distributed on a bonding curve to the rest of the reposters - Share of rewards is calculated at the end of the contest, so there's always a fixed reward pool but early and requent reposters receive a larger share - If the prize is an NFT, we can fractionalize it and distribute shares according to the distribution outlined above. If it is ETH, that's simpler. Tiny rewards can accrue to a claim contract that increases over multiple rounds of the game so that people can hopefully save enough on gas fees. #### Vote Raffle This could be another mid rarity bluechip or midtier, possibly with some ETH from the vote raffle entry. We could fractionalize this or just give it away to one person. ## Asks from HashesDAO I'm willing to go full hackathon mode and build the content validation bot over the next week if the DAO will grant me that honour. I'd love active committed support until delivery from: - Full stack smart contract developers - Website / UI / UX designers - Tokenomics experts - Community manager / comms I intend to do this for free to the DAO because I believe it is amazing, but I will happily put out a tip jar when I'm done for myself and the team. Perhaps somebody could put some Liscon tickets in there 😃 Hopefully the DAO can use this framework to guide the high value NFT purchases we're all aching to make! Or of course, feel free to pull this apart and combine with other proposal ideas ### Further Notes - Depending on the space available in the seed phrase field, we could tag / categorize any given content hash by adding "p1_" as a prefix. This tags it as part of 'permutation 1'. Perhaps this is unnecessary and indexing can be achieved simply by looking at block times or existing metadata - Claim and Repost tickets could be on-chain verified using another Hashes NFT... simply hash the string combination of the HashedMeme hash and the url where it is posted - Discuss scalability concerns and tradeoffs and possible optimization hacks plz - This game / framework can be extended to curate and distribute any and all digital content that is accessible in a lossless manner (and possibly combinations of them?) - Text - Repurpose this game for hashtags, HashesDAO investment thesis "narrative" medium articles, etc. - Bytecode - Repurpose this game to create new Hashes smart contract derivatives - High Value NFT Series - Audio / Video - GPS Coordinates - Physical NFTs - The list goes on!!!
