Bai Helamu Set to Join Chengdu Rongcheng, Awaiting Official Announcement
On February 9, it was reported that 22-year-old forward Bai Helamu has joined Chengdu Rongcheng, with the official announcement pending. He could become this winter’s top domestic transfer in Chinese football.

Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed, given Bai’s status as a key player for both the senior and U23 Chinese national teams, his price is expected to exceed Yang Xi’s transfer to Shanghai Port (€1.43 million / ¥11.73 million), potentially making him the highest-priced domestic player in this winter’s transfer window.
Bai Helamu, 22, is valued at €400,000. In the 2024 winter window, Shenzhen New Pengcheng paid €514,000 to sign him from Shandong Taishan U19. Last season, he made 19 appearances for New Pengcheng without scoring.
Internationally, Bai made his senior China debut in June 2024 and has nine caps with two goals. In the recently concluded U23 Asian Cup, he played five matches, providing one assist, helping the U23 Chinese team finish as runners-up.
