# Metacartel introduction My name is Jeff. <insert snicker here> Online I go by jeffalomaniac.eth I'm a 43 year old self taught fringe pioneer. My love for all things technical began with a 2400 baud modem and vt100 access to the internet in the mid 90s. This turned into an after school job and a front row seat to the web1 circus. In 2013 I started a successful vape juice company and reinvented myself in 2016 with a CBD company, both being some of the first of its kind and successful on a national and international level. I’ve participated in the crypto space as a hobbyist since 2017. I’ve built and maintained mining rigs and nodes. As trends changed I rolled with them, spent all of the defi summer losing and making money and finally found my home in the NFT space early 2020 as an early adopter. I ended 2021 with a nansen classification as a Legendary NFT Collector. My wallet is clean with not a single paid promotion and I’m proud of this fact. With all the whack a doo politics and endless narrative based news feeds in the US, I took the change in financial status to make the move out to Costa Rica with my wife. Here I found like minded individuals working towards causes to better the future of the very people who welcomed us to their homeland. I also found more of what I was looking for in life, balance. Through my new found family here I was pushed to attend a meetup here in Playa Negra where I was introduced to so many more like minded individuals in a completely different corner of the metaverse. Fast forward to one trip to Denver for MCON and my bags are packs, kool-aid sipped, and ready to slay Moloch with my new found friends. The ‘Degen to Regen’ statement holds a lot of weight for me as I am a jack of all trades, master of none type of guy. I knew that degenning was not sustainable and needed to find a home where I could build, thankfully Raid Guild Cohort 5 has given me that opportunity. I’m grateful for all of the people I have met both online and in real life and look forward to carving the future with you.
