  • The microCOVID Project is changing In March 2023, microCOVID lost the data pipelines provided by Johns Hopkins University that provided critical inputs for assessing prevalence of the virus in a community. As a result, microCOVID now relies on users to source their own prevalence data (weekly case counts, percent increase week over week, test positivity, and vaccination uptake), currently through the "Override location-based data" option. microCOVID will soon switch to user-provided prevalence rates In March, Johns Hopkins University will stop providing automated COVID prevalence data, meaning that microCOVID will no longer be able to look up the COVID rate in your area. Instead, users are asked to manually enter an estimated COVID rate. This site will provide resources to make this entry as easy as possible. The team hopes to swap the new system into place without any downtime and plans to keep microCOVID running as long as people are willing to support it. Once the new system is ready The microCOVID Project has switched to user-provided prevalace rates
