Call for Applications: Residential Institute on Frontiers and Frames for a New Digitality
IT for Change invites applications for our residential institute on Frontiers and Frames for a New Digitality, to be held in Thailand from 28.10.2022 to 01.11.2022.

Applications are open till **10.08.2022, 11.59 PM IST**

Attendance at the institute is fully funded through a fellowship from the School of Digital Justice. Selected participants will be covered for their travel and stay (with shared occupancy) and meals.

- [ ] For over a decade, I have been an active part of a community of practice both from development of technology and creation of open spaces, with diversity and disparity among the people in our region in mind. What does it take to develop technology can be inclusive? Is technology bringing in the possibility where persistent historial wrongs when it comes to gender and power can be corrected? What can be the role of policy and regulatory bodies for this to become a reality? What is our work for demonstrating people and technology are ready for such corrective possibilities?

That technology tools have turned to amplify the disparity and historic wrongs intead of taking corrective course. The traditionally powerful have used digitization to amplify their narratives and use social media to spread it wider and more emphatically.

Selected participants must commit to attending the institute for its full duration and keep up with the outlined work and time commitments. Barring only the most exigent circumstances or emergency, participants will need to travel to the location and stay full time for all sessions between 28th-1st November 2022 and make available at least 6 hours in the lead up to the event to engage with the reading material and the group.
