# A tip on how to organize notes

There are 3 main parts to cover:

1. The main idea
2. How it works
3. Why it’s relevant

When looking through materials

1. Grab a pen and piece of paper
2. Write so a 5 year old can understand
3. Check your understanding
4. Refine your work

On the 3rd bullet:

- Look for gaps in your understanding
- Where did you blank
- What was hard to recall
- Review the source material until it’s not an issue

On the 4th bullet:

- Use simpler concepts
- Create better structures
- Replace big words with simpler ones
