# Install proxmox:
* Go to proxmox.com . Go to the download section ,choose proxmox VE, then ISO images and then install the latest ISO image file.
* Download rufus as well from ```https://rufus.ie/en``` to boot the proxmox iso image into usb.
* Take the usb drive and plug it into the hardware where we want to use proxmox on.
* Connect the usb drive to the hardware where the bare metal server is running.
* Press f10,f11 or f12 based on the system to open the windows boot manager and select uefi as primary boot device.
* Select UEFI boot .It is the one which holds your proxmox ISO image which is present on the pendrive.
* Press enter on the name of your pendrive etc .It will open your proxmox screen session
* Fill necessary details like country ,timezone ,drive,password etc and start the installation process
* Once the installation process is completed click on the reboot option.
* A unique https url would be provided near the reboot option and make a note of it.
* Access the proxmox web interface using that link and login with username and password you set earlier.
# To create a VM:(Needs to be done on the https link where yoy logged in earlier)
* Go to the ubuntu website and download the file related to an ubuntu version.
* Upload that ubuntu file(or image ) into the local section of proxmax.
* You will find a node section below the Datacenter .Right click on it and choose create a virtual machine.
* Enter details like the name of the VM
* Go to the OS section visible on top.select the recent ubuntu ISO that you uploaded.
* Change the details like storage and disk size in the hard drive section.
* Under cpu section choose how many cores you want for the vm.
* Go to the memory section and select the memory you want to allocate to the server.
* Make required changes on the network section.
* Go to confirm section and press finish
* Now you will the vm server present under the node name ,right click and enter start.
