# Choosing the Right Wiki
## [campaignwiki](https://campaignwiki.org/wiki/Black_Eye_Cepheus)
### pros
• Anyone can easily edit
• I can upload the rules PDF and other PDFs (of a size upwards of 1 MB, but I shouldn't because I don't wanna burden Alex's servers)
• I can upload SVGs which have the option of adding point-and-click references back to the wiki ([like so](https://campaignwiki.org/wiki/Black_Eye_Cepheus/download/Stazn_Quadrant))
• There's an Index option available on the GotoBar which allows viewers to see a list of every existing page on the wiki. I make the best GotoBars.
* Intuitive and memorable URL that you can remember
### cons
• Anyone who knows how can easily edit/vandalize, although it's extremely easy to manage the damage
• Many of my players don't know either wiki creole or markdown which is an impediment to access
• People are lazy and won't make session reports or other contributions, even with XP incentives.
* Maybe an information overload/bottleneck for folks who don't really know what to look for.
## [kanka](https://kanka.io/en-US/campaign/74873)
### pros
* Only people I approve can edit things that I approve that they can edit, although they could add 'entity notes' (provided I approved it)
* I can upload images within certain limitations
* There's a modern design shtick and it "looks good" (this weighs very little to me)
* People might know how to edit how they like without needing to know a wiki creole or markdown while there's the option for gigachad galaxy brains such as myself to edit the HTML directly (though only for a specific container/div element)
* Intuitive and easy to search for certain things, e.g. organizations, places, NPCs, &c.
### cons
~~• I can't upload the PDF of (house) rules~~
• I can't edit the CSS and make the site conform to my specifications (this may be a pro because I won't be able to influct my atrocious design decisions onto anyone)
• players would have to make accounts to be able to edit or view certain things.
• People are lazy and won't make session reports or other contributions, even with XP incentives.
* There's not really a view of every single page (unless I'm wrong)
