  • default choice (especially when deviating from the standard in the field)
  • alternatives to defaults – when should someone select an alternate choice?
  • what is the impact of different parameters – how much can they affect output?
• Publish the software with performance against benchmarks
• Provide visual explanations of pipeline steps
• Explain technical variability introduced by changes in defaults
• Maintain clear documentation explaining changes to defaults and calculations with new release
