# Tsukuba Exchange 101: From airport to Tsukuba

In Fall 2022, buses arranged by the university are available to pick us up at Narita Airport. The first thing to do is move into the dormitory.
For those coming to Tsukuba on their own, there are several options:

## 1. Train + Local Buses

Rule of thumb: Transfer to the Tsukuba Express (TX) train to Tsukuba Station. There are multiple available routes, and Google can help you with that ^^

After arriving at the Tsukuba Station, transfer to the local bus route "Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan"（筑波大学循環, meaning UT Loop） at the 6th platform. ([Google Maps link for the bus stop](https://https://maps.app.goo.gl/sbfsyHknEr3JPngi6)) 右回り and 左回り represents clockwise and anti-clockwise.

Take the bus to "Ichinoya Gakusei Shukusha Mae" （一ノ矢学生宿舎前, meaning Ichinoya Residence Hall）.

## 2. Highway Bus（高速バス） + Local Buses

There are buses to Tsukuba from Haneda or Narita. But the frequencies of them are limited. After arriving at Tsukuba Station, the rest is the same as above.
