this is the 3rd time i've uninstalled windows and by far it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences i've ever had.

## ==the first time:== Ubuntu 6.10 Dapper Drake
alright so i was tired of windows xp and my rig at the time couldn't handle the ting
==winVista==
which looking black i'm real stokey that i didn't strap them shackles on.

so yeah i was 16ish with a busted 3rd ✋-meDown.
frfr it was probs a refurb'd dell tower thingy lol i loved that thing so much!!!

it was great not only was i learning how to tweak out my os so much to make it like macOS
{i was something an apple fanboy at the time 😅}
like im talk'n i had a dock and shit minimised just like it used to on macOS.

i also started learning about `torrents & p2p, web development, using stack overflow like jesus and disciples` and most importantly the value of little but consistent effort.

## ==it's quite elementary:== ElementaryOS 20.04
some many years l8r I once peered back into alternative OS.
this time however i wanted to try something a lil bit more mac(ish).

at heart ig apple's ui will forever resonate as a blatant alt for win>=10,
couldn't say the same anymore lmao.

i stumbled on Elementary and was like WOAH

you're telling someone took ubuntu and made it like macOS

sounds familar af ngl mayn.

so y'kno bo0g HAD 2 innit, and once agen,
the BIOS was tinkered with. having now a
more capable machine at my disposal

i thought I'd take a crack at a magic trick,
one I'd always wanted to try
but neer quite had enuff
resources to accomplish... yup

a once icarus-like dream was now
a task i embarked upon.
the gameplan was simplez

myDualBo0t consisted of:

- [x] SSD : elementaryOS + HDD partition
- [x] HDD : win10
- [ ] the patience required

the only raisin i even still had win10
was due to it still being installed on my drive

and tbh

windows is annoyingly convenient.

maybe thats why it ==dominates== the pc industry
so tyrannically eventually i decided
why not go all in on this re-kindled joy for stacking oveflow*

*pun here

and i got rid of windows...agen.
annnnnnnd it was mmmm

**reflection**

i'd say a decent ~>4-6 months
of running the ubuntu based distro on my machine.

toward the end before regrettably going back to win10.
i think if I'd kept win ssd instead of hdd i wouldn't have had many problems etc,

oh boy 😅 so as i type this....i had already made the decision to revert to win11...
