## The 'Flight of Capital' Incident

In the year FSC-23, independent enterpreneurs and corporate interests deserted the Solar Confederation en masse, dealing a final blow to the private sector of SolGov. This event would shape future interstellar economics, as Solarian capital 'fled for the stars', forming new companies on Teceti, Kalixcis, and Reyehim.

## The Shipping Corporation and You

Shipping companies, such as Krakei-Jiguang and Lane & Star, are companies that move massive amounts of freight between systems, facilitating both intrasystem and interstellar trade. A given shipping corporation has near-total control of their trade routes. Their claims over these routes are often violently enforced, with all shipping corporations employing some sort of solution to competition. Ceasefires are established in certain systems, usually homeworlds or high-traffic colonies, which act as connectors between company shipping networks.

## Medical Services and The Cloning Bubble

Cloning was celebrated as a new era for civilization. It is now reviled for its questionable ethics and worrying methods. The cloning boom was an investment bubble in the early modern epoch. The period coinicided with massive growth of the healthcare industry

Prior to the cloning bubble pop, companies investing deeply into exciting new cloning technology became immensely rich. However, due to a series of scandals regarding the cloning of sentient beings, the industry collapsed overnight with only a handful of surviving companies.

Comapnies such as Safehome! and BSN-P were able to profit from the cloning boom, becoming major players in their industry. Others, like Paragon Technologies, and Ralgeskurah Biotic Supply, utilized their top-of-the-line genetics equipment for other purposes. Others still simply returned to their original fields within the healthcare and supply industry.
