Once full of life, its natural flora and fauna were decimated when first contact was established with the wider interstellar community. It is currently under the custodianship of the Rehabilis Internationale, a joint council consisting of Solarian, Kalixcan and Teceti advisors alongside native governments that seeks to “Rehabilitate Egys and undo past damages,” and is responsible for ecological rehabilitation projects and distributing aid packages. Egys is the evolutionary origin of the Vulpkanin, who are still its predominant inhabitants.
