Review the IOI strategic plan 1. Develop shared principles / ethics / frame i.e What sort of behaviors do we want for investing in open infrastructure / the community and how does this group want to share information with the community? ## 2021-10-28 meeting Date: 2021-10-28 Location: online ### Agenda 1. Committee structure and the possibility of advisors? 1. Community engagement/calls/feedback methods 1. Clarivate/Proquest merger 1. Values - How do we feel about companies in the research space who integrate/share/cooperate with law enforcement or defense? - Maybe revisit the conversation of what our values are (re: corporate grants, etc. - being ethical without being absolutist, etc.) - What kind of “work product”/ “deliverable” should this Council produce? - Are we an advisory board or should we proactively draft recommendations? What work would most benefit IOI? **Summary of Action items:** 1. KT to share signups from initial call for participation 1. We need values statement, then open for public comment 1. Roadmap for the year (a few goals for each quarter, etc.) 1. Meet with the new steering committee 1. KT to send updates after the Governance and Nominating Committee meeting (set for 10/29) 1. All members should read through the SPARC Clarivate / Proquest filing ## 2022-01-27 meeting Date: 2022-01-27 Location: online ### Agenda 1. Committee composition 1. Public meeting (February) 1. Community consultation for OI projects facing acquisition 1. Road mapping - Values statement (for public comment) - Rapid response process - Better business practices - Community calls (1/quarter) **Summary of Action items:** 1. Retreat - ideas the Community Oversight Council is having, trying to shape – help prioritize / what this process should look like 1. Shea to follow up with Rob about involvement in Committee (and retreat) 1. Scheduling for March community call and drafting its structure 1. KT to check in on legal aspects (+ ping Sarah!) for tipline ## 2022-03-08 meeting Date: 2022-03-08 Location: online ### Agenda 1. Shared value against increasing corporatization 1. Hotline for open infra? 1. Blog post / Charter - would love the IOI team to draft a blogpost on the work of the COC 1. Recruitment/engagement? - Recruitment for folks to join in a voluntary capacity - Bringing in individuals from under-represented communities 1. Community call planning **Summary of Action items:** 1. There is a need to talk about remit and compensation - share with COC asynchronously to reflect on it and share comments 1.
