These are not hard and fast rules but simply guidance on how to use this Discord server effectively. The rooms are separated into categories like _WELCOME_, _GENERAL_, etc. Please read the channel descriptions of each channel - The #general-talk is considered the "main" chat room that most users gravitate to. - Beginners starting out on any area related to investing (or personal finance) can ask their queries in #ask-us-any-question. - Those wanting to share insightful articles, books etc. that serve as reference material for other investors can do so in #education-resources . - The other channels like #check-my-portfolio, #personal-finance, #fundamental-analysis, #economics etc. are places you can go to discuss those specific topics. These are generally dedicated channels that can converse on those topics without as much _noise_ as the general chat. One way to use these is to simply post in there and wait for someone to find it, or, you can go to the #general-talk channel and ask if anyone wants to join you in a specific channel. - Use #ipo only to discuss IPO allotments and get help with other queries related to upcoming IPOs. No speculating on potential _listing gains_. No queries like _should I apply for this IPO?_ If you've an investment thesis about why you'd want to invest, or not invest, in an upcoming IPO, you can post in #ipo. - Use #off-topic for non-investment discussions. However, server-wide rules still apply. - Is there something you are looking for that you think would be nice to be able to find here? Go to #feedbacks-suggestions channel and post it there. Suggestions to improve are always welcome!
