The Index Coop is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) made up of a small group of core contributors and a larger community of product holders, governance participants, and supporters. As a DAO we work on the cutting edge of decentralized finance to build simple, accessible and secure on-chain structured DeFi products.

We’re looking for a curious, self-motivated engineer to help us onboard users to the next generation of financial products. This is a generalist role with a lot of possibilities for the right candidate. If it has to do with code and it's important, you'll be called in to help! A successful person in this role will proactively find important problems to solve--and solve them.

**Example Responsibilities**
- Designing, implementing, and deploying smart contracts
- Setting up a database to make querying on-chain data easier and faster
- Upgrading our keeper bot infrastructure
- Developing APIs and consuming them client-side

**Requirements**

- 3+ years of experience as a backend or devops engineer
- 1+ year of experience in smart contract development, **OR**
- 1+ year of experience as a front-end developer for web3 applications
- Excellent written communication in English

**Nice to Haves**
- Degree in computer science
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, or another cloud infrastructure provider
- Proficiency with Typescript, React, and Solidity
