## GENERAL PURPOSE
In this assignment we are thought what kind of problems occured and the solutions for those problems when we learn about 3GPP technology.

## DIFFICULTIES OF LEARNING 3GPP

1. **3GPP Specifications Are Interlinked**
Each 3GPP technology has many referenced specifications, which makes beginners end up following so many referenced specifications.
2. **3GPP Specifications Do Not Cover Examples**
Only few 3GPP specifications who provides example to be understood by beginners.
3. **Some Specifications Are Very Big**
3GPP has a wide range of learning, just like RRC (Radio Resource Control, 25.331). Some of them contain more than 1,000 pages.
4. **There are so many Technologies**
3GPP specifications cover UMTS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, HSPA, IMS, LTE and many other technologies. It causes beginners confused which part of it who needs to be learned first.

## SOLUTIONS TO LEARN 3GPP

1. **Know What You Want To Read**
Start your study with idle mode specification 25.304. Before downloading any specification from 3GPP website, make sure you know what are you looking for.
2. **Study The Respective Specification First Then Go To The References**
Always start to understand the first specification first before you go to the references.
3. **Take A Print Out When Necessary**
If needed, get some print out of papers being studied. It helps some people to learn faster because you could write some notes directly.
4. **Follow What You Are Studying**
Try to completely understand each specification one by one (Don't rush to go to the next if you haven't understand current study). Start to understand from the first specification and continue to the next specification one by one.
5. **Examples Can Solve Your Problem**
Try to get some examples of the specifation being studied. (Note: Sometimes it's hard to find even a single example for some specification).
6. **Don't be shy to ask**
If it's hard to find examples, the best way is to ask the professionals. They can teach or guide you to learn 3GPP in a good way.
