The iCommunity digital identity system is a process by which, based on a few pieces of information that will be requested to you, a process of identification of your person will be carried out and a secure digital identity will be created for you by which you can demonstrate that you have been you and only you who have taken certain key actions within our certification ecosystem.
# **WEB MAP**
## **TYPE SELECTOR**

The first thing to decide is whether you want to create a digital identity for a natural person (or freelancer) or for a legal person (or company).
You just have to click on the chosen option.
Obviously, depending on your selection, you will be redirected to the [PERSON](#person) or [COMPANY](#company) section
## **PERSON**<span id="person"></span>
### **ENCRYPTION PASSWORD**

In addition to giving you a few brief instructions about the next steps to follow, in this section you must enter and confirm the password with which you want to encrypt your digital identity.
**Attention:** *The password that you enter at this point will not be stored anywhere else than on your own PC temporarily and only for the time necessary to establish your digital identity. This password will not be sent to our system and cannot be changed or retrieved at any time after this panel. The loss or misplacement of this password will mean the impossibility of verifying your digital identity. The custody of this password is completely under your responsibility and the company will not be responsible for any action derived from the loss, misplacement or theft of it.*
The password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. It may not contain symbols or special characters.
By pressing the "start" button, you will be redirected to the identification system where you must follow the steps that will be described below.
### **IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM**
#### **AUTOMATIC SYSTEM REVIEWED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)**
The first time you go through the identity verification process for a signature, it will be carried out by our AI system.
The biggest advantage of this system is that the response will be almost immediate, thus allowing you to work with a signature as quickly as possible.
Although it is true that AIs are in constant learning evolution, as this is a vital process in our ecosystem, quite restrictive parameters have been configured to reduce false positives to zero and thus ensure identity verifications.
As a counterpart, this can produce some false negative, and therefore, if the process had to be repeated a second time, it will be reviewed by human operators (for more information, see [MANUAL SYSTEM REVIEWED BY OUR SECURITY EXPERTS](# manual)).
##### **STEP 01**

The first thing you must select is the type of document with which you wish to carry out your identity verification. Choose between:
- **id card/residence permit:**
- **Passport:**
- **Driver license:**
Then you must accept the "Terms and Conditions" and the "Privacy Policy" (you can read the full texts, before accepting, in the links available on this page) and click "continue".
##### **STEP 02**

The second screen is informative where you will be advised to:
- Have your document available
- Make sure you are in a well lit place.
- We will ask you to perform some actions.
- Be prepared for a selfie
Go to the next screen by pressing "continue".
##### **STEP 03**

The next step is to give permission for the use of the camera.
It will be asked by the browser. If you do not give permission, the process will not be able to continue.
Once granted, move on by clicking "continue".
##### **STEP 04**

We move on to capturing the front of the document.
First you will be shown an animation of how to place the document for registration.
When the camera starts streaming, hold the document close to the camera until it fills the entire frame.
Our system will take care of improving the image as much as possible to get the best quality and, as soon as it detects an acceptable quality, a countdown will begin in which you must try not to move the document.
Once the capture is done, the result will be displayed on the screen. If the result seems satisfactory and, above all, readable. continue to next step. If, on the contrary, the captured image does not seem correct, press "retake" and repeat this point.
##### **STEP 05**

The steps at this point are the same as above, but for the back of the document.
Once captured, let's move on to the selfie.
##### **STEP 06**

At this point, as in the previous ones, you will first get an animation of how you should capture your face.
An oval will appear on the screen in which you must frame your face.
When the system detects that it is in the correct position, the capture process will begin.
We have enabled what is called "proof of life" so that malicious user will not attempt to record close-up static images of faces (pictures). This proof of life will make you take an action while you are capturing your face. The actions that are usually requested are:
- **Smile:** The system will check the change in your factions.
- **Turn to the left:** Turn your head to the left until your right ear is in the frame.
- **Turn to the right:** Turn your head to the right until your left ear is in the frame.
##### **STEP 07**
Once the previous steps have been completed, a summary screen will appear in which you can review all the captures. If the result seems correct, click "Finish" to send the data. If, on the other hand, any of the screenshots does not seem appropriate to you, you can press "Restart" and repeat the process.
#### ** MANUAL REVIEW SYSTEM CARRIED OUT BY OUR SECURITY EXPERTS **<span id="manual"></span>
If the automatic system denies the verification of your identity and you have to carry out a new process, it will no longer be reviewed by our AI, but by our security experts.
This has the disadvantage that it may take a little longer to receive the response to the review of the process (depending on the availability of our operators). But, in turn, the review by a human operator allows the review and consideration of details that the AI cannot take into account. Giving, therefore, a more personalized treatment of the data to avoid false negatives delivered by the AI.
##### **QR CODE**
At this point, if you are carrying out the process from a PC, a QR code will appear at the bottom of the page that you can use if you wish to carry out the process from a mobile device for any reason, such as not having a webcam on the pc.
By clicking on the same QR, it will be presented in an enlarged version to facilitate its correct capture with mobile devices.
##### **ATTACH IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS OF THE SIGNER**
In order to create the digital identity, the signer will be required to present a valid identification document along with a current photo of himself.
###### **WEBCAM**

In order to use this feature, you will need to give permission for the use of your camera. Once granted, you will be able to see the transmission from your camera in the upper box.
If your device has different cameras, a selector will appear that will allow you to decide which one you want to use at any time (ex.: front or rear cameras of a mobile device)
The next thing will be to capture the relevant images. After each capture, the image will be shown so that you can accept or deny it as you see fit.
Make sure that the images are clear and that the data in the documents can be read. If the quality of your webcam is low or gives you problems, we recommend using the QR code and taking the screenshots from a mobile device because it usually gives better results.
The captures can be made both by clicking on the buttons immediately below the screen with the transmission of your camera, and by clicking on each of the corresponding sections.
The images to be captured are:
- **Front of the ID document:** Any type of identification documentation issued by the government of your country (either the country of origin or the host country, if applicable) in which your name, your identification number and your identification photo can be clearly seen, will be valid. The front is always considered the part of the document in which the owner's photograph appears.
- **Back of ID document:** Back of the same document used in the previous point.
- **Photo of the owner of the document holding it:** Close-up photograph in which the face of the owner of the document can be seen next to the front of the document used in the previous points.
**Warning:** *Take into account that the documents must be not expired and that graphic montages will not be admitted.*
###### **DIRECT FILE UPLOAD**

If, instead of capturing the images with the camera web or mobile device, you prefer to simply upload some images already saved on your device, this option allows you to do so.
You only have to click on the corresponding section so that the file explorer appears where you can select the image to upload.
The maximum size supported for each of the files is 2MB.
The required documents are the same as those described in the previous section:
- **Front of the ID document:** Any type of identification documentation issued by the government of your country (either the country of origin or the host country, if applicable) in which your name, your identification number and your identification photo can be clearly seen, will be valid. The front is always considered the part of the document in which the owner's photograph appears.
- **Back of ID document:** Back of the same document used in the previous point.
- **Photo of the owner of the document holding it:** Close-up photograph in which the face of the owner of the document can be seen next to the front of the document used in the previous points.
**Warning:** *Keep in mind that the documents must be not expired and that montages with photoshop or similar will not be accepted.*
##### **ENCRYPTION AND FILE UPLOAD**
Once you have uploaded all the necessary documents, by clicking on the "send" button, a process of encryption and uploading of the data will begin for the creation of your digital identity.
By carrying out this process entirely on your PC, it ensures that your data will not be sent in an accessible manner to anyone, ensuring its integrity, security and data protection.
**Attention:** *The encryption and sending process may take longer depending on the size of the data to be sent and the power of your PC. As it is taking place on your PC, you should not close your browser or turn off your PC until the process is complete. If you did, the entire process would be null and void and you would have to repeat it.*
## **COMPANY**<span id="company"></span>
### **ENCRYPTION PASSWORD**

In addition to giving you a few brief instructions about the next steps to follow, in this section you must enter and confirm the password with which you want to encrypt your digital identity.
**Attention:** * The password that you enter at this point will not be stored anywhere else than on your own PC temporarily and only for the time necessary to establish your digital identity.
### **MANUAL REVIEW SYSTEM CARRIED OUT BY OUR SECURITY EXPERTS**
In the case of a company's documentation, the details to review in the legal documentation can be so extensive that it is not yet possible for our AI system to review it automatically. If we add to this that the documentation in question is different depending on your country, even more reason for it to be reviewed by human operators who are experts in security and legal questions.
This means that company signatures can take a little longer to be operational, but we hope that you can accept this fact as it is vital to create a secure and reliable digital identity.
#### **ATTACH COMPANY DOCUMENTS**

In this section you must attach the documents referring to the identification of the company. As minimum:
- Register of activity or constitution of the company
- Certificate of who are the administrators
- Tax registration certificate (VAT or equivalent)
Please note that each country has its own documentation, and the names mentioned above may not match. Attach the equivalent documents according to your country.
The total size of the submitted documents cannot exceed 12 MB. If your documents exceed this limit, we suggest adjusting the sizes and/or compressing them in a .zip file.
**Warning:** * Keep in mind that the documents must be valid and not expired, and that graphic montages will not be accepted.*
#### **ATTACH IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS OF THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE**
In order to create the digital identity, the company representative will be required to present a valid identification document along with a current photo of itself.
