# Space Sappers

A roleplay encouraging invasion antag for Nova station, developed by Honkpocket, sprited by Crumpaloo, and written by ChillyLobster.
The Sappers are a duo from Pluto, they are part of a gang colloquially known as 'gaksters'. These people represent with a yellow and black bi-colored uniform. Their mission is similar to that of regular space pirates, except their method of attack is more subtle. The Sappers attach a machine to the station's power-net and convert Watt to Credits.
### Not like pirates
Despite sharing similarities with the space pirate event, Sappers have differences that greatly change the playstyle for the *better of the round*.
Most blatantly being that their shuttle cannot re-enter deep space, nor do the Sappers get supplied with EVA gear. This means that there is no 'cat and mouse game' between the invasion antag and security.
Secondly, their only way to earn score is to upload holo-credit chips, and there is no threshold at which a 'greentext' appears. Players are only encouraged to meet personal records, or to just have fun with it.
Lastly, they do not get offensive gear. Their most potent equipment being the mag-fed perimeter turrets firing .35 sol.
### How they behave
Sappers arrive to a nearby sector unannounced after at least an hour of game-time has passed in-round. They then have an indefinite time to prepare and plot until they arrive to the station's sector and are locked-in, unable to return to deep-space.
Once they arrive they have multiple ways to tackle how to handle antagging, their shuttle is equipped with radios so communication can be considered.

A hasty and inefficient Sapper outpost.
It is intended that the Sappers can play their game slowly, picking a remote location to defend and perhaps even excluding their shuttle from the defensive outpost or parking it nearby. There are degrees of stealth gameplay involved and their slight 'engineer-like' appearance can play along with that intention in mind.
A good player takes in account multiple points to attach their siphon to, and can use the layout of the dual-sided shuttle to their advantage. Remember that they do not have EVA gear, and must build defenses inside habitable areas.
