# Zavic Finally Enters Korea "Glory to Join Pepper Savings Bank"

Barbara Javic (29, Croatia), who was named the top foreign player tryout in 2024 by the lowest-ranked Pepper Savings Bank AI Peppers (Pepper Savings Bank) volleyball team in the V League women's division for three consecutive years, has finally set foot on Korean soil.

Pepper Savings Bank said on the 1st, "Foreign player Javic entered the country through Incheon International Airport on the morning of July 28 to conduct a pre-medical test for the team."

On May 9, Pepper Savings Bank recruited Zavicic of the Apogit Spiker position as the No. 1 pick for the tryout of foreign players in the women's team of the 2024 Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO).

Vajic, who is 191 centimeters tall, has played in various leagues including Belgium, Italy, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland after graduating from the University of Arkansas in NCAA Division I. In 2023, he participated in the VNL of Nations as a member of the Croatian national team.

"It's good to pick the player I want. I picked several players from Korea, and they were my favorite players," Pepper Savings Bank's new coach Yoo Ji-yeon said at the time of the nomination. "They are competitive in terms of height and power. They have a good understanding of volleyball. They have a good living, enough to earn scholarships for four years in the U.S. What caught my eye when I came to the venue was that they explained to other players about the practice.
