# Project Skyler - Participants Recruitment Information --- ## Outline - Project overview - Participant agreements - Appointment Schedule - Reward - Contact information --- ## Project overview Project Skyler is a study that involves VR environment. The user is encouraged to make conversation with Skyler, the glowing deer in the VR environment, which requires the user record their voice and speech. The study includes 6 steps, 1. Study instruction : read the detailed study instructions 2. Video induction : watch a 6~7 minutes video 3. Pre-survey : complete a pre study survey including mood evaluation and previous VR experience 4. VR experience : Start the VR experience for more than 8 minutes 5. Post-survey : complete a post study survey including mood evaluation and questions related to the VR experience. 6. Short interview which might take **30 minutes to 1 hour in total**. --- ## Participant notice and agreements Please notice that the participant **should stop the experiment immediately if feeling uncomfortable or any kind of sickness**. The study will collect data from the participant for analysis, which **will only includes**, * participant's gender * participant's age * previous VR experience from the pre-survey * mood evaluating result from the pre-survey * mood evaluating result from the post-survey * feedbacks from study-related questions in post-survey and short interview * text data record from the conversation in the VR experience. * image data record from what participant sees during the VR experience. to clearify, the study **will not collect**, * name and any other personal information which is not listed above By making an appointment schedule, means the participant understands and agree the agreements in this section. --- ## Appointment Schedule Please use the following link to schedule the study. If the participant feel uncomfortable or any other reason and wants to stop the study, the participant can only claim the half reward. The full reward will be 10$ Amazon gift card, while the half reward will be 5$ Amazon gift card.
